Can anyone recommend some apartment complexes near MP?

I live in league city and am bored as hell out here. $800-$1000 price range. 1BR. Preferably somewhere I don't get my ish broken into.

    TIA

My ex lives at Memorial Club - about a half mile from Memorial. I believe she pays a little over $800, and that's for a 2 bedroom. Parking is a b**** at times, but crime has never been an issue as far as I know.

Not the nicest apartments I've been to by any stretch, but decent. If you're looking for social life, it's in a great spot. Basically walking distance to all the Washington bars.

Oh, and I'm paying $1,100 for a two bedroom. I'd imagine the 1 bedrooms would fall into your price range.

$800 - $1,000 month; should OP be looking at a smaller condo? Assuming he just wants to live somewhere in the city, could he sneak into a studio or a 1/1 at a high rise somewhere?

Looks nice, but even the 655 sq. foot apartment says "from the $1,000's". Likely out of his $800-$1,000 price range.

EDIT: Just saw your follow-up post. Looks like you got a deal on yours, or that their prices have gone up in the past 6 months.

Yeah, that's a bit pricey. Nice place, though.

Damn, thought I had just locked up a referal bonus there.

I think apartments in general are going to be much higher this time of the year. Once we get back to the Aug-Oct months, prices should go down a bit.

FWIW, I've had 3 friends who lived at Archstone Memorial Park.

2 of them had their apartments broken into, the 3rd had his car broken into.

Those apartment, in my opinion, aren't worth more than about 700 for a one bedroom. (and that's being generous)

Anything more than that and they're ripping you off.

The Left Bank River Oaks is really nice. I haven't checked if they're in your price range
