"The Bulls unveiled the bronze bust showing him in his No. 33 jersey during a ceremony at halftime of Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics at the United Center."

    linky

Of course, the Rockets don't need to have a bust of Pippen -- his entire career as a Rocket WAS a bust.

Pip's kid: "Were you not good enough to get the other half too?"

Which reminds me...Dream needs the whole things as well..That jersey doesn't do him justice.

It's against his religion, that's why it's just the jersey.

I think Dream didn't want to have a statue of himself because it goes against his religious beliefs.

Just like I figured it would be. It's about the same amount of Pippen that was visible on every Jordan poster out there watching him do work.

Rockets fans know why they cut the statue off where they did: Because Scottie Quitten has no balls.

We should just convert Dream to another religion and put a full statue of him

Cutting Pippen off at the waist seems somewhat appropriate, because half his legend/glory/prestige doesn't even belong to him, thanks MJ!

The thread title makes me laugh. So does the bust of Pippen.

Scottie, you were a legend. Here's to a great career with the Bulls and the excellence you brought to the court. You were MJ's first, his last, his everything.

I don't like the making of statues like this. It seems like idolatry to me. I don't worship athletes, I only respect them.

This only makes me think more of Olajuwon and less of Pippen.

I would have just made a statute of Pippen's nose.

Good for Pippen. Other than his contoversial stint in Houston, and a few issues during his career, he was a great player and contributed significantly to the Bulls dynasty.

Congrats Pip and I hope to see your bust at the UC in June when I visit Chicago.
