you can die on that cross but it was not the right move, if KD himself is struggling vs the same blitz’s it’s a system - coaching issue placed upon the player

now JG working with Booker and his midrange game has started to bloom …while we had him working with the drawf FVV and Holiday

Two things can be true at the same time. The coaching is bad, and it was a good idea to get off of Jalen Green's contract.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that JG is suddenly a good midrange player just because he's has a small number of games shooting it well from that distance, we've seen him have his hot streaks before many times. He always regresses, there's no reason to believe this time will be different. Also, his overall scoring numbers this season are still really bad. (41% from the field, 31% from three.)

I think the ideal move would have been to kick KD over to a third team and get players/picks back. The trade in itself was a decent move though, and the issue can still be remedied in the offseason provided he stays healthy.

The issue is still the same, Udoka doesnt know what to do when:

    1. Opponent center guards Amen (clogging the paint)

    2. KD is triple teamed

With coaching this bad I dont see us beating any team in the first round. People like to talk so much crap about KD or the trade, last year we had Steven Adams and FVV ok? FVV limited the turnovers, and then even if people bricked it doesnt matter Adams gets the rebound. KD helps us with his shot making but at 37 he cant beat consistent double and triple teams.

As a coach why cant Udoka design an offense to score on 5-4s or 5-3s? This should be basic for any coach at any level lol wtf.

Ive still got no issue with picking up kd, but i wouldnt have been upset if they wouldve dine something like move Green and 10 for a higher pick in this past draft or for more future picks.

But I really dont think KD himself has been an issue. I think trying to make kd a playmaker too often instead of play finisher and just the general lack of offensive creativity has really hurt the team this year. Even without Fred, I dont believe our offense should be this bad. Especially not with the team as a whole actually shooting the ball better than we did last year.

Even if Fred comes back at some point, the Rockets need to force an offensive coordinator on Ime. Even if we move KD and Fred... Whatever happens roster wise...Ime needs help on that side of the ball.

This isnt new stuff with KD. And even if it was, you can see a player clearly struggling with something yet in a crucial game in crucial moments you keep asking him to do those things hes not good at.

I just refuse to believe Ime has been around this many great nba minds and lacks the offensive acumen that he appears to lack. Its baffling. You got one of the best, most efficient scorers of all time and you cant get him the ball in spots where he can use that ability. Over and over again.

The modern MVP has to be a playmaker, someone like Darryn Peterson if he cannot playmake, he is not going to be an MVP.

All-NBA first team for all I care but not the MVP......

    • Kevin was never a good defender, still aint, that is already 2 major FLAWS.
    • Plus he is an idiot and simpleton on Twitter X.
Amen and Alperen are playmakers that can't dribble well and can't shoot consistently.

22 turnovers. Lack of ball handling and poor movement is fatal. Slow walking the ball up the court and then KD iso ball offense won’t cut it. Rockets panic when facing on the ball pressure.

Imagine having Dillon or Jalen taking 3s instead of Amen, Jabari, Tari and Sengun.... Stone traded away our offense AND defensive anchor.... What did he think was gonna happen? That old Durant would care? That's not how trading works, you don't trade good players for ex stars on their way out to retirement..... If he really wanted Durant fine, but pick him in free agency and add him to Jalen and Dillon... Suns gonna overtake us in the standings breh...

Couldn’t have anything to do with you calling Durant’s number all 4th quarters all season long with the same results. Such an ass.

That 4th quarter was painful. It was almost like a low turnover PG would have helped a lot.

Reed did not look ready. KD could not pass out of the double team. In the few instances that the pass got out of the double team, the other 4 Rockets couldn't do anything other than that one play.
