Who then? Big 12 is a grind, that can’t be undervalued. And you add on top of that a strong non-conference showing from the beginning of the year on neutral sites.

Any one of Duke, AZ, Florida, Michigan...with UConn/UH/Iowa State/etc on the outside

Next year Sampson may have to dip into the portal more than ever before. Guys currently on the roster I can see contributing in 2026-2027
    F Joseph Tugler
    G Mercy Miller
    F Chase McCarty
    G/F Isaiah Harwell
(I wish Cenac would stay another year. I think it would be mutually beneficial. Have a monster sophomore campaign and come out in a much weaker 2027 Draft).

    Incoming Freshman:
    C Arafan Diane
    G Ikenna Alozie

I think Houston is going to need at least 2-3 veteran players in the portal.

yeah. Duke and Michigan are easy outs. But their conferences aren’t the grind of a tough big 12.

certainly good teams but their conferences aren’t near the gauntlet

The Big 10 absolutely is, hell it may be even better than the Big12

you're going to need more than 3 guys from the portal

you're losing your pg, sg, sf, pf, back up c, and a glue guy in ramon walker
mercy and chase probably dont start. jojo is probably back but there is the possibility he turns pro.

no point worrying about it now but next seasons team will have very different expectations than the last 2 teams. kingston being a one and done is awesome but i dont think the staff was expecting it.

I wonder who the 4th 1-seed will be? Of the top teams, Coogs are flawed no doubt, but so is every team ranked 4 though 10.

McCarty starts next year and might lead the team in scoring. Ramon walker is a good kid but I think they’ll survive his departure. Mercy is a good player and will start or be a 6th man.

We have 2 great players committed for next year and there will be more coming.

Top 10 team next year, no doubt.

This UH team has a lower floor in the tournament but also has the highest ceiling of any team in 40 years.

There isn’t a single team that I don’t think they are capable of beating.

They were definitely capable of beating Florida last year in the championship game. Gave that game away.

The Coogs are not sound defensively and have no real leader on the floor.

Last few iterations would obliterate this team.

We struck GOLD in our Tournament placement. Absolutely ideal. Now, if UH can get their "stuff" together and play their best ball of the season, they can end up in the Final Four. At least the road is paved. It is up to them. How hard and smart do they want to play? How bad do they want it?
Plus, I see the real possibility of an all-Big 12 Final Four.
