I wouldn't be confident in the Rockets beating any playoff team in the West given who the head coach is.... and I'm not confident the Rockets get the 5 seed.

Steve Kerr is now 8-5 against Ime in the playoffs despite Ime having the higher seed in both series. I don’t think think I can take another series of Kerr embarrassing the hell out of Ime.
Knowing our luck we’ll get the 3rd seed but draw the Warriors and lose in 7. Or we play Denver and get swept.
Whoever we play the short comings on defense will be put on Sengun mostly. Play the Twolves Randle will abuse him. Against the Nuggets it's Jokic... don't even want to talk about going against Spurs or Thunder. We will see what we look like against the Lakers tomorrow and Wednesday. When the offseason is here it will be all about trading Sengun for Giannis or whoever. I already see the writing on the wall.
Honestly, I'm not confident in the Rockets winning a single regular season game against anybody, much less a 7-game series against a Western Conference 4 or 5 seed. I predict they drop to the 6th seed or the play-in by the end of the regular season. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if they clawed their way back to the 3 seed by the end of the regular season. They're that unpredictable. In any case, they'll have to overachieve to get out of the 1st round, and they haven't really overachieved since December.
What's hilarious is the shortcomings were all evident as well on Friday when Sengun wasn't even playing. Honestly, Sengun or not, we're not the defensive team we were last year. Sengun is just the easy scapegoat for it, but it's an issue that plagues the team whether he is playing or not.
I completely agree. I see Sengun as a power forward and when played to his strengths a player i want on any contending team. Ime and he is just not a fit coach/player wise and unfortunately one will have to leave.
