Texans need to play the Houston Oilers song during every timeout and TV break at NRG when we play the Titans.

They will always be under the curse of Bud Adams until they decide to give our history/uniforms back to us.

They are actually ugly. Don’t have the original sheen of the Houston Oilers unis back in the day.

As corny as this song is, it still rocks! It also reminded me of the 2 AFL Championships we won in 1960/61. We don't celebrate or even remember that much, but it's still a pretty cool part of our pro football history.

There was a time I wanted the Texans to do what they could to get these colors back. That went entirely out the window when I watched Case Keenum wear the Texans red white and blue and beat the Titans in Nashville while they wore old Oiler throwbacks and their coach was doing Bum Phillips cosplay. That was so much fun. **** ‘em. Go Texans. Wear whatever uniform combo we have but just beat the **** out of them.

In light fairness, it's kinda just bringing back their own '97-'98 "Tennessee Oilers" unis

Since they havent been relevant since Steve McNair both Oilers/Titans late 90's, kinda makes sense restoring the last time Tennessee was even halfway taken seriously

There are still Colts fans in Baltimore who’d rather have had them vs. the Ravens…. And the Ravens have been one of the most successful NFL franchises around since their inception. (Baltimore being the unique anti-Houston example… where both of their teams had exponentially more success than either of the Houston teams).

That being said, the Ravens having that early/sustained success has pretty much made that team synonymous with anything Baltimore… and nobody amount of historic Colts NFL championship/Unitas days history compares now.

The Texans have been just as incompetent as the Titans… and thats sad since the mantra from day one of this franchise was to do everything better/different than the other franchise that was here before (and that’s basically just dumbed down to following the Patriots).

Tennessee was taken pretty seriously when they wore deep dark blue in the Super Bowl. If there’s history to lean into there, that’s it.

For the 1000th time, they OWN the Oilers name and intellectual property rights. Unlike Cleveland who sued the NFL to retain the Browns name and IP, Houston did nothing so the Oilers belong to the Adams. All of this endless whining won't change a damn thing.

Yeah I remember that! With their hasty exit from Houston, they found themselves in Memphis until their stadium was completed in Nashville. The irony of it was that the Memphis fans didn’t want to support them either because they were just crashing there until Nashville completed the stadium. So they always knew it wasn’t their team.
