Those pitches just vanish way down There's nothing a hitter can do with that other than not swing. Good luck with all that.
All those nasty sliders has to be a fluke. @astrosrule told us just a few days ago only his change up was a good pitch and the rest of his arsenal was trash.
Mike Burrows. If you watch the video Buck responded to of his latest start, you’ll see him striking guys out with a nasty slider. This was you a week ago: “Burrows velocity was alot slower than I expected, but his change up certainly has the stuff. Needs to add the curveball back to his arsenal that impressed scouts early in his career. Potential to fall into setup man territory if he's just a change upguy.”
Only thing you could argue is learning to play CF. Sending him there “for a month” isn’t going help him learn anything else.
Other than barrelling the ball vs MLB pitching, playing OF, not swinging at total **** pitches.... outside of that it's basic stuff
Maybe he belongs in the Show, and maybe not. But that's an absolutely ridiculous statement to make about a 23 year old who has exactly 20 minor league PAs above A+ ball and was 241st in wRC+ out of 243 MLBers w/ at least 150 PAs in the 2nd half. He has tons to still learn and much of that can be done in Sugar Land.
If he's the best RF he should be the opening day RF Who is better? If they want to play peepee games with service time, just say so
I tend to agree. Cam would be better served spending opening day in the minors and coming up a bit later than to start another season on the roster before getting sent to the minors due to a cold start or inconsistent play. He was given a free pass last year due to the hot start and would benefit mentally not doing the same this year.
Wow that dude is a complete clown in this section and the rockets section, i take a great deal of offense to this.
