This is not “again.” I think it’s pretty clear that Green is talented, but not talented enough to be a primary guard scorer, meaning a #2 guard role could serve him well. He never had that here, so it’s silly to act like things won’t be different going forward for him in Phoenix.

 

or maybe just maybe actually praciticing with a true SG like Booker is helping him develop vs the Rockets not having any vet SGs on the roster his whole time here.... KPJ doesnt count they wanted to turn him into Harden Jr. Hell last year we didnt have a backup VET SG and this year we have no SG at all lol

I do see your point, and it's a good one. Sengun offense is more archaic Antawn Jamison type junk shots shooter, with less defense.

Mine is that, I guess anyone can be a floor spacer after all if Jalen is the standard lol.

Before Jalen's " breakout" of shooting 3's near league average, in the 2024 season, of the top 50 in total 3 pointers made, Jalen Green's .332 % was the 2nd worst 3pt FG% in that top 50. (Behind Jordan Poole). While being #8 in total attempts. Safe to call that inefficiency.

So its the turd sandwich vs giant douche dilemma. Of choosing perimeter inefficiency, or interior inefficiency. But I guess with today's game, a 3&D of below average 3, with average D, is that vital if the "gravity" is just average

 

He's a lot more impactful than garbage ass Sengun that's for sure.

When he’s good he’s good. But, when he’s bad he’s really bad. So far in his career there’s been more bad than good. This season there’s been more bad than good. He may at some point be more consistently good. Let me know when he’s good for more that a few games or a few weeks.

Jalen just got stuffed on a open dunk cause he cocked it back for no reason. Huge momentum play that Toronto got a dunk on the other end.

 

Jalen's last 3 games make him look like the superstar we always hoped he could be.

But he also did this towards the end of his second season. He's due for a couple of 3 for 19 type games with 0 free throws.

 

I hope this is his routine post-ASB thing. Otherwise I’m gonna be so mad that he finally breaks out, after leaving rockets…
