we already have 3 shooters on the court with KD Tari and Reed. Cant have more than 5 people lol

Rox issue is both Sengun and Amen cant shoot. One of them has to go. In the modern NBA only 1 guy cant shoot the 4 other guys need to be able to shoot.

Or you can just wait till KD is old and then go after a younger (super) or star player.....

And then decide if you move on with Sengün or Amen after collecting more data.

This I agree 100%. Now it boils down to who can defend between the 2 and it looks like Sengun might be the most expendable one not unless we get a way better offer on the table for Amen

Even if you replace KD it doesnt change anything about Sengun and Amen not being able to shoot.

Sengun and Amen are just a bad fit, both need space in the paint, both cant shoot the 3, both need the ball and both have contrasting styles. Amen is better in a hyper athletic push the ball offense while Sengun prefers half court.

Wow there are 23 NBA teams worse than us. Since Ime has NO redeeming qualities I can't even imagine how you rate the rest of the league.

Rockets are still a top 4 team in the west you just have lots of CF posters who are clueless and delusional.

    OKC
    Spurs
    Nuggets

    Thats its.

I want to see them in the playoffs first.

I am more inclined to keep Sengun as we can see with Jokic you can win with a playmaking big surrounded by shooters. Amen is a pg who cant shoot havent seen anybody like that win in the modern era.

Do you think Sengun is being held back with the current system? I think he still has a chance to be something special with the right coaching and system. Same with Amen but yeah, to your point it's tough to win with a non-shooter guard like Ben Simmons. I also wish that Jabari could turn out to be a big contributor but until he makes immense strides to his offseason work then I guess that's just a pipe dream for now.

You are clueless and delusional if you think that is important. We added Durant and were the 2nd seed last year. I don’t think it is unreasonable that we would better this year. Nothing delusional or clueless at being disgruntled with the offense this team is running out there and the regression on both sides of the ball. I’m sure you were happy with your participation trophies as a youth.

If Jabari can shoot like last game like he was supposed to be able to coming out of the draft that would be great, but he doesn’t consistently. That is a big problem when Sengun and Amen can’t shoot and then you have Jabari bricking 3s. Stone has been terrible at trade deadlines filling holes in the team. Gross incompetence by him not adding a ball handling guard at this deadline. Also the DFS signing looks terrible right now unless his foot magically heals before the playoffs. It is sad watching Tari guy out his foot injury because he bet on himself for his contract. It is obviously affecting his shot and play. Hopefully Reed can figure out defense so Ime will play him more.

I hated it last year when people said stop criticizing the team, they are the 2nd seed and filled with young players. But at least I understood the sentiment, even if I felt that the team was very flawed. This year when people say to stop criticizing the team because they are the 4th seed, despite having turned a fairly young team into a much older, more injury prone team, I just wonder if people even know what they're saying.

We were 0.500 last year without FVV (11-11) now we are both without FVV and Adams. Is a 0.500 record 2nd seed?

why do you think you are being reasonable? FVV is clearly Ime's offensive coordinator and Adams made us a historically great offensive rebounding team. Without those 2 pillars even if you add KD the Rockets lost their crutches that made up for their bad offense. In fact the team started 15-5 before all the injuries hit so they were on track to be better even without FVV.

Rox have participation trophies since they won in the 1980s. If you dont care about that why you here since 2016? 2016 was 2 yrs before Cp3 trade Rockets were just participating with Harden, Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon. Other than 2018 the team has never been more than participants yet here you are acting like they are contenders every year

The only one older is Durant lol and he has been healthier than ever.

Adams, Tari and FVV were there last year as well so nothing changed.

People complain about the Rockets not building for the future, but Amen, Sengun, Reed, JSJ, and Tari are still here. The Rockets still have a ton of draft capital. The old guys getting hurt doesn't change that Amen, Sengun, Reed, JSJ, and Tari are still here.

I just don't see Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, and the 2025 FRP to be a big long-term loss.

To me, the depressing point is that Amen and Sengun have regressed such that Stone is likely hesistant to put more future value to build around them unless they regress back to where they were last season.

I like how you ignored all the people that overturns your argument. But yes, if Brooks, Jalen, Cam, Capela, the 10th pick of this past draft, and DFS all don't exist in this world, then you would have a case.

Green and Cam suck. The Rockets kept the cream of the young talent. Brooks, Capela, and DFS are not young players, and the acquisition or trading of those guys did not involve them taking a crowbar to the knee of a young player such that they have nothing to do with the long-term future of the Rockets.
