this is a real bummer. Best guard left on the market. I have to say I’m disappointed in Caserio. He continues to ignore the o-line. Barring a trade we are gonna have two-three gaping holes on the o-line heading into the draft. It’s outrageous frankly.
forgot about him since he was just released. That would make me feel a little better. i keep hearing Chris Paul (the football player) as an option. Folks need to know…he sucks.
Sean Tucker is a rb I liked a few years back out of Syracuse. Think he'd be a bargain 3rd back for 5 carries a game.
I can't believe we didn't offer Mays more than Detroit did. We pay Ingram 37 million and they get Mays for 25 million? Stupid. We spent almost 25 million on a safety. Seems like we could have offered Mays 30 million and Ingram 32 million and gotten both. I would have rather had Mays AND Ingram. Better than expecting rookie picks to be better right off the start.
There should have come a time already when Caserío just said to DeMeco.... It would be frustrating to be an offensive coordinator on the Texans when you have to sit back every free agency and watch other teams get the best offensive linemen.
I should not be shocked, but I am, this O Line needs help, and we did nothing to improve it, sure we signed Ingram again and it's a very cap friendly deal when other teams IMO overpaid for mediocre players, but to not get anyone on day one is a downer as a fan. I assume Nick is going to build in the draft or a trade but come on man, this offense needs help and I am not sure Nick can get out of his own way to fix this. I will say the value of the O Line shot up big time and I get that you don't want to overpay but we have to sign someone....................this feels like last year all over again
I think it's an overreaction. The hit rate is about 1 in 3 on second round offensive lineman. Not defending the picks, just saying most teams have more misses than hits in the 2nd round. The Green one is what hurts the most knowing what they could have had instead.
I don't trust Nick's evaluation on the O-line and based upon the fact that he hasn't signed anyone of significance, it looks like he is looking at the draft again. Hopefully, he can swing a trade! But if that's the case, why trade your best O-lineman, Tytus Howard for a 5th rnd pick at this stage? I would have kept Howard one more yr and draft an O-lineman in rnd 1 and 3, see how they played....THEN TRADE TYTUS! HE COULD'VE PICKED UP A 5TH RND PICK ANYTIME. I KNOW, THAT JUST MAKES TOO MUCH SENSE BUT THAT'S JUST NICK THINKING HE'S THE SMARTEST ONE IN THE ROOM AGAIN.
If were not in the FA market, then I question the Tytus move, he was arguably one of the better linemen and that's not saying a whole lot.......Nick has to have a plan right?................................RIGHT?
