A certain % of the individuals that are “conservative” and that are high iq are actually only there to grift whether it is the politician themselves or political pundits.

For those not on Facebook or not willing to click..

    https://www.psypost.org/high-iq-men...rvative-than-their-average-peers-study-finds/

High IQ men tend to be less conservative than their average peers, study finds

This is a longitudinal study based in Germany that tracks the development of individuals over time. The project began during the 1987-1988 school year..
    ..
the initial phase involved examining over 7,000 third-grade students. The researchers administered standardized intelligence tests to this large group. These tests measured reasoning abilities and the speed at which the students processed information.

From this large pool, the team identified a group of gifted students. These students had an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 130 or higher. In the general population, an IQ of 100 is considered average.

The researchers then selected a control group of non-gifted students. This group had IQ scores near 100. The researchers ensured this control group matched the gifted group in other ways, such as gender ratios and socioeconomic background..

..non-gifted men scored higher on conservatism than gifted men. The non-gifted men were more likely to endorse values related to tradition and strict social order. Gifted men were less likely to hold these traditional conservative views..On the other hand, gifted men may possess greater cognitive flexibility. This allows them to process diverse perspectives more easily. Consequently, they may be less inclined to adhere to rigid traditional norms.

This difference was not observed among the women in the study.

It is just n of one, but thanks for providing evidence of the reverse correlation of IQ and liberalism.

Even if there is some correlation, what's the point in bringing it up or parading it?

What if Dem males have, on average, less testosterone?
What if Repubs are more likely to have over-active amygdalas?

How does any of this help anything?

One of the most interesting data sets I've seen, that could be interesting to both parties, goes like this (and I've said it before). If you take person X at random and ask one question, you are almost assured to know how they will vote:

Do you live within 40 miles of where you were born? (I may have the number wrong.)

That's fascinating. It suggests to anyone who wants to mend fences and avert civil war: (a) go visit your home town and catch up with people, respectfully if possible, or (b) travel just a little more beyond your home town, maybe even to a city or two, and learn that it's not that bad.

But anyway, "I'm with the smart party!" isn't going to help us much, I'm afraid. LOL. Although it could launch a nice "Better dumb than Democrat!" T-shirt industry. Oooo. I'm off to the presses in fact.

    Need a Cultural Exchange program
Kind of like a STUDY ABROAD program
Spend 1 semester of High School . . .. City Folx in the Country and Country folx in the City
Preferably a city in an extremely different part of the country
[Going from Rural Mississippi to Jackson ain't it]

That would be really smart. Interestingly, in the alternate history novel The Plot Against America (by Philip Roth, recommended), a new, Germany-friendly government does institute such a program, but only to move city kids out to the country to indoctrinate them against their parents. Haha. Like, the main family in the novel is Jewish (and rightfully afraid of the new government), and their son comes back from his time in the country loving bacon.

But if we had any sort of exchange program that moved people in multiple directions, it would help. Maybe you could just have kids trade Tic-Toc accounts for a month at a time. :D:eek:
