We have the talent, no doubt We have the talent, no doubt Haven’t had “identity, mentality, toughness, dog, all of that” all year. Last year’s team is not walking through that door. Last year’s defense is not walking through that door. Get it back, go find it, hope it comes out in the next 4 weeks lol How can you “get back” something you never had (this year) Narrator: you don’t have the talent, the coaching, the Identity, the mentality, the toughness, the dog, the all of that. The gimmick is up.
Sure and then came crunch time n Jalen Green had the ball. All that toughness just to lose in the first round with HC. We just need to play better defense (if possible especially Sengun), and we'll be fine in the playoffs. San Antonio ain't running and gunning in the playoffs.
I miss last season's defense It felt like we always had the ability to lock in and force turnovers Almost makes me wonder if Dillon's impact on winning wasn't secretly greater than KD's, although really I do think it's losing him and losing FVV to injury combined that is the issue. In any case, Amen and Reed are the only players I'm even having fun watching. Durant is still an amazing shotmaker, and on a real contender maybe that would be more exciting, but on this team it's a poisoned well since his addition has messed up our team culture and he's not a long term piece on a team that clearly still needs to be focused on drafting and developing young talent.
I didn’t say any of that. I don’t think trading for KD solved any of our problems and I fully believe Sengun is the root of our slow, stagnant, cramped offense. If they wanted to trade Green then they should have done it for another 2 or combo guard. And they had no contingency (drafting Sheppard instead of Castle).
This is why I'd be on board with just blowing it up outside of Reed and Amen and just starting over while we still can. I do not like watching Dickerson play and really seeing him and analyzing him every day makes me realize how overrated he is by most NBA analysts. He has never won outside of being Curry's sidekick. I cant even really put it into words but he plays like he's practicing. It feels so preordained and I'm sure it just comes from the ease he's always had to shoot over anyone all the time. But its such a struggle and grind to get him the ball which he exacerbates by just not being big enough to muscle dudes off of him. Trade literally everything outside of Reed/Amen for one of the Top 5 picks in this draft and see if we can walk away with one of Wilson/Dybantsa/Boozer/Peterson. Fire Ime/Stone. Just do it right. This team now reminds me of those gross Morey teams at the end that I hated watching.
Idk lets see what happens in the playoffs. The style we play is built for the playoffs, just gotta crank up the defense. And they've shown that they can D up. I would wait until the after the playoffs with the assessments. If we beat the Spurs and end up in the wcf, you can't be mad.
I really don't know what you're doing, Jabari is one of my favorite people. What did you think was going to happen here, that I'd be mad he played well? If you guys are playing a little game where for the rest of the season you're going to "a-ha!" when it suits and disappear when it doesn't, I'm really not interested. No offense but it might be possible I'm much much older than you and you don't realize it? I really meant I only care about season average, so what is the point of you pinging me after 1 game? If that's really difficult I'll put you on ignore but I'd really rather we just debate and discuss things logically.
if you only cared about season average then you would know the only thing Tari better than Bari in is steals and 3pt% (which is quickly heading the wrong direction) Bari leads him in every other stat and I’m in my 40s …and I was right here when Bari had his 8 game slump
