But @Hemingway seems to think less 3s and more amen shot attempts is the answer

    We're not fun to watch.

The last 2-3yrs, win or lose, for the most part we were.

I find this team exhausting to root for. Prioritizing other things now, its not fun at all.

Terrible vibes. I haven't been enjoying watching Rockets basketball for some time. Even wins feel wrong.

Which proved great for him, being in the East is way easier.

Stone had his connections with KPJ and Banchero, all 3 hail from Seattle.

Correct, and that's my whole point, luck has not been on our side.

We could of put all of the money in the world to our scouting department and Jerry West (RIP) could of been our GM, and yet, not having the opportunity to draft that franchise player would of put us in the same boat. The only difference is that maybe, just maybe, a well paid scouting team and good GM would have led to better team building (as @Nook mentions), which maybe puts us in a better position right now, but ultimately, still limited by having to rely on 19 year veteran, KD to be our current franchise player. Maybe Udoka isn't the coach, although lets be real, Udoka has been responsible for getting out of the Silas shithole. But yeah, Udoka is a limited coach and it would be nice to have a more innovative coach that maybe tries different schemes when **** is not working.

JR I wont be gaslit into thinking Adams and FVV arent huge parts of this team. Reed is playing well now, but imagine that dude with Adams screens. Fred takes away most of KD and Sengun's eye-searing TO's. Fred also gets Sengun and KD in their spots. Rockets may not be as good as the spurs but the rockets have been a gawd awful team in the west and yet they are still one of the top seeds.

amen back in the dunker's spot with fred.

Because spurs and Detroit got the number one overall when there was a clear number one overall guy. Rockets just didn’t. There wasn’t some huge draft pick blunder by the Rockets. With the exception of probably Green over Mobley, they went with obvious best player available at the time given the information we had.

if they got the number one in Wemby or Cade draft, it would be a different story. But they never had a chance to get those guys.

    Blah blah blah SSDD

"It was nonexistent, honestly, in every way. We lacked any kind of physicality or toughness just to stay in front of guys. It’s just blow-by, blow-by and that’s going to collapse the defense and it leads to those kickout threes. They shot at a high clip. … (It was) the worst defensive performance this year.”

They are significant members of this team, but at the end of the day, they are just very good role players with some serious limitations. When Steve was playing earlier this year, Udoka was insisting on his dumbass double big line up for extended period of times that wasn't working well. I'm sure if FVV would of been healthy, we likely are seeing much less of Reed development in the name of taking care of the ball. Sure, we would of been better having those two around, but several issues don't go away because those two are here. We are still likely a 1st or 2nd round team. We are a flawed team. We are playing two non-shooters in the line up which makes it easy for other teams to double up on KD. The only advantage with FVV is that we would of had him taking care of the ball and maybe giving us a few more options, but yeah, we still have issues even with those two in the line up.

Considering the large extension they gave him and Tilman not being an owner that will spend to whatever lengths to have his team be competitive, it is no surprise the amount of power Udoka yields. As long as he keeps winning and getting us to the playoffs, his job is likely safe. Doubt Tilman wants to pay another coach like Malone to have Udoka collect checks for doing nothing.

Not true. Rockets wanted Cunningham, Wemby, Banchero all those guys would have been drafted if Rockets got the number 1 overall.

No I don’t, but I think more made 2’s is better than missed 3’s and turnovers. Reed has sucked 2 games in a row. I still want him to start. He and Amen can be a solid backcourt with the right coach and without Durant and Sengun dominating the ball. Lack of 3 point shooting is not our only problem. Amen needs to be more aggressive scoring instead of deferring to Durant and Sengun. He is the best on the team at creating 3 point opportunities. He needs to be unleashed even if it means a few more turnovers.

Turnovers are killing us more than anything and Amen and Reed have the best assists to TO ratios on the team. Reed has to play better defense to become a good NBA player. Last 2 games his defense was pathetic and he didn’t have the offense to make up for it. Anyone blaming Amen for our offensive woes is an idiot. Look to Ime, Durant, and Sengun if you need to blame somebody. The GSW game Reed was a hero in a losing cause, but his defense was the worst he’s played all season. There were only two players that looked engaged on the floor tonight, Amen and Capella. I believe the rest of the team has called it a year, just like our GM. I guess Reed was trying, bless his heart.

Hey, the GM said maybe it’s just not our year. Players are simply acting accordingly, human nature.

Maybe Holiday even cant play for GuangDong Tiger but he still stays in the NBA team roster

And I still think what kind of GM will say some words like it's just not our year in the public because one key player injuryed?

Not as comedic as your taking Sheppard over Castle before this game. You never own up to your misses. Don’t complain about Ime at least he’s getting paid millions for his narcissism.
