Ime was great to set the culture. However, now his lack of offensive coaching is starting to show up. Honestly, I'm okay with firing or trading anyone we have to. This team needs to choose which direction they are going to go and right now they are in the middle without an identity. I'm okay with anything as long it makes us better.
It’s hard to have any offensive coaching when half of the team can’t shoot. Watching teams sag off Sengun and Amen is painful.
The roster construction is absolutely ridiculous. Not addressing the point guard position or doing ANYTHING at all at the deadline should be the last straw.
That was already known but not even trying to trade back into the Draft 2026.....that shows you that this GM and Front Office is not serious. Just tease with Durant trade and then do nothing, classic giving fans a piece of cheese and then take it away. The bench without Sheppard is probably the worst I have seen in 15 years.
they have wemby we don’t. But one thing I don’t get is we don’t have guys that can dribble drive and shoot. Tari is the closest thing we have and Bari has improved but neither are great at getting to the basket off the dribble.
This team as constructed will not make it out of the first round. I won’t be surprised even if we get swept. As long as teams sag off Amen and Sengun and double team KD, we have no counter. And to be fair I don’t think there is much Ime can do about it.
Ime is not without blame, but I agree. I’m not really sure how you scheme with the lack of shooting, but you’ve got to try something. But it might not matter when you’ve got guys in the funk that they’re in now.
FOR **** SAKE THERE IS A TON to do about it, take the ball out of his hands, initiate with Sengun on the low block, and start there..... Have players setting picks and back screens, move off the ball. And to your point. SHOOTING IS THE NUMBER 1 MOST IMPORTANT THING in basketball....I can't SCREAM IT ANY ****ING LOUDER! DD
This is a cycle of non chalance......Fertitta down to Ime and the players......either clueless or not caring. And they rebranded the term flaws - Continuity.
Agreed. It is unprecedented for a contender to play an entire season without a point guard. When FVV tore his ACL, Stone's priority should have been finding a competent point guard to replace him. Doing nothing from December 15th until the deadline was pathetic. This is a wasted season full of regression.
What is the point of talking about firing Stone? I’m not a giant Stone fan, but he is gonna be here for years and years. There are a bunch of steps that would come before a GM’s job being in jeopardy: a total failure season not explained by bad injury luck; a mega-trade using our stockpile of future picks for a centerpiece player, and that not working out; Ime getting replaced and a new coach coming in and failing etc. … then the GM’s job would be in jeopardy. That’s just how the NBA works. GM’s in good standing with ownership don’t get fired in a reactionary way - not like coaches. They get long cycles, often 10 years+.
