If Nick doesn’t fix the OL again this year, it could kill two birds with one stone and it could sign his own pink slip.

If he was making trades supposing moves were given and again dumpster dives, he’ll be clearly showing again that he has no idea how to fix it and the Texans will have to move on.

As I mentioned above his price just went up, but I think the premise is spot on. We need a vet OC that's better than Andrews. Believe Mays is best out there and still young at 26, plus he has upside. Hopefully, Nick has already got a deal ready for him to sign.

    Seumalo is washed.

teller had a down year on a joke of a team. Decker was going to get cut before he asked for his release

I wouldn't sign a guy that size to play IOL

Sounds like a hell of a TE though, if he has hands

I am still shocked that they haven't signed any Blue Chip FA yet!

I corrected it. The article had a typo. He is 325 lbs, not 235.

I think we have a good shot at Mays because our staff worked with him before and I think Ferentz was primarily responsible for his growth (before Panthers snagged him from Giants)

    That's my hope

Weapons I hope we are checking in on this weekend, some more realistic than others :

    RB
    • JK Dobbins - people keep doubting him and he keeps being a solid committee option ; we need options
    • Rachaad White - former starter, shouldn’t command high dollar
    • Tyler Allgeier - would be a good 1/2 with Monty
    • Emanuel Wilson - cheap and shows up when called upon ; sneaky filler if injuries show up
    WR
    • Rashid Shaheed - was a believer on the Saints, championship pedigree and the perfect WR2 with WR1 upside
    • Mike Evans - older but clear WR1 upside in case of injury, local guy serves as bridge to the kids
    • Romeo Doubs - not the speedster that Shaheed is, but perfect WR2 style for this team ; less WR1 upside but good complementary piece
    TE
    • David Njoku - older but the weapon we seem to have been missing over the middle
    • Chig Okonkwo - Another pass catcher more in the mold of a big WR
    • Charlie Kolar - bigger TE more in the vein of a 6th OL
    • Isaiah Likely - injury concern, but major pass catching upside
Personally, we should also be in on Etienne and Alec Pierce, but both are likely to command far more than we will be willing to go. There are a few other options out there who’d be fringe interesting, but I also slightly doubt we do anything here.

What I would love and see realistic if we tapped into these categories would be White/ or Wilson (RB) + Shaheed or Doubs (WR) + Njoku or Kolar + Likely (TE).

What I expect is maybe one or two moves above. Nick seems to favor the draft in offense, so my hunch is a cheaper RB is possible to likely and then a TE like Kolar. I do think we should consider upgrading WR2 and TE1/2 as I noted and push for guys like Shaheed/Doubs and Likely. We need more juice.

I'm hoping for an impact starter on the interior OL plus serviceable veterans and then hope they hit in the draft.

I'm hoping for a legit TE that can block and be a good second TE.

Interior OL is really the biggest priority. If they walked away with a starting C and a starting G I would feel so much better even though I hate this offense.

Yes to Mays, Jenkins (if we can spread his cap hit out via a trade), Onyemota, & Kolar.

So we’re out on the race for the ravens center?

We're not necessarily out on Linderbaum, but he is excellent at zone blocking. We use gap blocking and his numbers there are about the same as Ingram's. We don't want to pay over 10 million for Ingram, so why pay over 20 million for Linderbaum? It's all about fit.

Given his price and fit with the system, I'm not sure we were ever in. There's a reason the Texans have never been on the teams linked with him.

Jenkins would be a lot more expensive than Mays, and he's coming off a major injury. Mays is 4 years younger, more durable, and had a more consistent 2025 season at center than Jenkins. I'd skip Jenkins if we could get Mays.

We still need more than Mays. I never said Jenkins over Mays.

    Jenkins might be a cheap acquisition (e.g. swap a 2027 6th for a 2027 7th + Jenkins).

Packers need cap space. We could turn Jenkins cap hit into minimal 2026 and spread over 4 years (but he gets all of the actual $ in 2026)

But yes... he might not be ready until Sep. / Oct.

I am thinking long-term and depth.

It's the 6-man OL that they'll never see coming
