One thing we need to do is cover the corners. Champagne killed us in the games they won. We often cheat and drag corner defender into the paint.

 

Was it strange? Yes. But i didn’t think it was that bad. He said it in jest and he was talking about the unfortunate injuries we’ve had. He also said he thinks the Rockets have been really good and can play their best ball in the second half of the season and that he expects all players to grow. He also said Fertita is willing to spend money and do what it takes to win.

 

when they put castle on sengun, sengun better punish his ass. rocket have never been overmatched by the spurs, it's just Ime is always out-coached.

 

That is why he never said that much before, he does not know what is good PR.....

He is in that field of lawyers/solicitors that do not talk and only care about Contracts.....

Most lawyers talk their arse off defending a client.

Of course it did. It’s just human nature. It’s like if an employee hears a boss say “ehh, maybe this project wasn’t meant for us, we’ll just do what we can”. Anyone working the project would take their foot of the pedal and think “oh well, we’ll do what we can but won’t kill our selves trying too hard”

Or if a kid hears a parent say “ehh, math is not really his thing so we’re ok with him just passing there”. The kid is thinking “shoot, why am I killing my self for a B, when a D will be just fine”

As a GM of the team, that is a wild wild moronic thing to say and set a limit on your own team. This dude may be book smart, but holy **** how much of an idiot can he be when it comes to basic human psychology.

This is the second time he said something that I went “wait he didn’t really say that did he”.
The other time, and I know most probably don’t care about this, but it was when he kept on raving and raving about Banchero BEFORE the draft He was salivating over this dude out in the open media, even revealing some stuff that other teams didn’t know like him being 6,11 barefoot or whatever the height was.

Unless you have the first pick in the draft, you just don’t do that. It’s just idiotic. It doesn’t matter if that had anything to do with Magic picking Banchero or not.

The point is that it’s stupid to put your cards on the table for everyone to see before the other players even played. Sometimes teams are not firmly decided on who they want and some of this over sharing could help another team with their decision.

 

They replaced part of his leg with a metal rod and he gets hurt when he plays hard so he's trying to protect himself to cash in this offseason.
