Accountability and integrity were what held the systems of society up. Once enough people figured out that they can benefit and avoid punishment or even judgment and still be unethical or responsible - the social systems started to break down.

This has happened a number of times before --- there are some theories that it is about every 80-110 years that large parts of the world have these issues. It is a little over one human life span, with not enough people alive that lived through the last one to warn enough people about the next one.

Then there is usually a change or cooling off period of a decade to several decades.

Go look at that time period between 1910 to 1930 to see a lot of parallels to what is happening now -- other periods as well historically but they are so long ago that most of the impact of 1840's in Europe and the USA - leading way to the 1860's in Europe and Nationalism in the USA and Europe, resulting in the conditions leading to WW1, which set the stage for WWII.

What part will technology play? IDK..... but the world is breaking free of the Post WWII establishment and relative peace....... it was a very good time period to be alive in many parts of the world, may the carnage of the change not be that bad for our children.

I`ve seen it up-close and personal, my mom, all 5`2 of her is the sweetest lady you would ever meet, she goes to Church every Sunday, even plays the piano and she fell for trump in the first go round and he has not lost ANY of her support............she gets her news from fox and FB. Underneath that beautiful lady, I never realized there was some pent-up racism for the brown folks. I always knew my dad had some racism buried in there but not my mom. Trump gave these older white FOX-watching non-college educated individuals permission to be hateful and racist. For them it was cleansing.

Because of it, Trump can invade whatever country despite his claims he never would (and that Obama in 2012 would attack the same country in order to help himself politically), kill as many girls at a school in Iran as need be, drive up the price of oil, wreck the economy (look at February's jobs report), and they will never abandon him as long as they get to hate brown people.

 

You want that the U.S. does what Obama proposed which paved the way for Iran to have nukes. All leftists want that.
