Headline: The Rockets take away National Team coach Stephen Silas from his utmost important duties to advance US Basketball on the international stage....
Dude is a fraud, the sooner we move on from this guy, the better. All of you will come around eventually, hopefully the FO follows too, which I doubt.
Number 3 spot, not for long my guy. If we are being honest, only reason why we had that third spot is because outside of okc and the spurs the rest of the west teams have been very inconsistent including the nuggets. This team is fraud and they aren’t what their record say. Come playoff time, I guarantee you they won’t be anywhere near the top 4 spots. If we are really being really objective, we all know damn well that ime is not a good coach. He is consistently getting out coached by his peers every game. He is clueless with using his players, he is abysmal with players rotations and adjustments after timeouts, and quite frankly this season he has showed that he is not really that good of defensive coach as everyone has proclaimed since he has been here. Yes, we don’t have a true PG, but this team could’ve easily been competing for the 2 spot with the spurs if we had an average game manager on the sideline. Not starting Reed tonight was pure criminal act, despite reeds defensive struggles, this guy is probably our best offensive player at the moment and from the get go of the game, the team was drowning and had a hill to climb to get back in the game. Ime is a ****ing horrible coach
The problem is Ime. If the rockets drafted Kon Kuneppel, he would be averaging less than 5 ppg getting DNPs.
I just dont like that we have no ball movement whatsoever like 80% of the time... Last night was proof of how good Steve Kerr is...and I cant stand that motherfoker
Ime is a top three coach in the league. Stone is the one who gave him this ridiculously bad offensive roster. None of us on this board could do any better with guys like Jabrari, DFS, Okogie, Capela, Reed’s D, Sengun’s inconsistency, Durant’s turnovers, Eason. Other than Reed and Durant, this team has ZERO three point shooters or for that matter zero outside shooters and if you dare say Eason….. To add insult to injury, we don’t have one legit point guard on the roster. Stone has not made one single move to address these issues and we’re all blaming Udoka for 39 wins and the three seed. He should have a statue built and be in consideration for coach of the year. Inevitably we will fall behind Minnesota and Denver and be a five seed and lose on the road easily in the first round, but to Stone’s credit he already told us that when he gave up on the season with both words and actions at the trade/buyout deadline.
1-6 in OT says it all. Ime has no plan, no system, he is a tough AAU coach at best. we got beat by a Gleague team with a system. DD
he’s incapable of learning from his mistakes and failures in order to progress. lack of any self awareness = textbook low iq
I'm not saying starting Reed magically fixes everything, but if he's out there instead of either Jabari or Tari, the team doesn't find themselves down 22-11 more than halfway through the first quarter and they're not spending the rest of the half digging themselves out of that hole. And predictably, the same starting five got off to a horrible start in the third quarter and again spotted the Warriors a big lead. What infuriated me even more than Ime not starting Reed was that he waited around 8 minutes into the first quarter before he ever made a substitution. What the hell is he doing on the sidelines? Where are the adjustments?
Can someone explain the thinking behind giving him a super premature extension? Was there some concern he’d leave when his contract was up? I’m just very unclear on why they locked him up for 6 more yrs. He was being paid well. Just seems unnecessary. I hope that doesnt become an issue if we need to move on after next season.
The adjustment to Reed worked. Riding Reed in the comebacks was the right call. Reed can't play 48 minutes before OT. This game was lost because the starters got their butts kicked. Whether they were starting or used as backups, Ime was going to have to play minutes without Reed last night. I'd start Reed, but the Rockets are going to have to play the Amen, Tari, JSJ, Durant, Sengun lineup at some point, and that lineup is generally good. I think Ime deserves blame for adjustments when the offense dies with Reed on the bench. Last night, was not that.
