it's march 6 2026 when the hell did he suffer a fracture hip? against the wizards? he put up 32 pts against the wizards. are we now gonna make excuses for sengun just like how warriors make injury excuses whenever curry is trash?
Every time Sengun has a stinker this season he has that mystic injury, every time he has a good game he manages to play through that mystical injury. This is what JG homers resorted to as well in the playoff series - he bumped his knee.
I tend to agree, but he has fallen off a cliff and doesn't even look like the same player anymore. I don't think he's just forgotten how to be good. There's very clearly something wrong with him. Coaching, team chemistry, who knows what, but something is very wrong.
On the X's O's: Why does the ball always start with Alp in the high post? Why can't there be some low post where someone can make a safe entry pass? When he is in high post, it's almost always an Alp iso going into rim with potential kickouts. It does work sometimes but problem is there are other non-shooters and we also can't/shouldn't run this 100% the time as it gets too predictable. Where are are the cuts and screens? We sometimes sees or 1 or 2 of these after a timeout then it's a business as usual. Is the Amen/Bari dunker spot completely neutered already? Where is the two-man game of Sengun/Reed or Sengun/KD? If the coaches are planning for it but it's the players not listening or unable, I'd like to hear it in the post game presser. There's also the regular game plan of Alp trying to get the other team into foul trouble. This is not just an Alp thing, as much as I'm convinced our coaches are asking him to do it. It has worked a good number of times last year, but opposing teams and Refs are wising up to it. When Sengun is forcing a call instead focus on finishing, it's a detriment. Relying on external factors like a Refs to make a call is risky because you might not get it. Lastly, the double bigs or off REB, where we found an advantage, but instead of using it judiciously, we spam it until it becomes diminishing return.
This makes no sense. Amen has been the one clogging the lanes in the dunkers spot a lot od times on Sengun drives. But that’s only one issue. Sengun has blinders on a lot and doesn’t make that pass to an open wing or corner. His vision is very limited in my opinion.
Jokic moves around quite a bit unlike Sengun. After he passes he moves into a spot to shoot a jumper or he cuts or screens immediately. And doesn’t miss in the paint. Imagine if Sengun shot more than 10 ft. He would ve pretty hard to stop with a 20 ft pullup jumper or three pointer
I agree but some times i look at it this way- Salary vs salary. Between the salary of Fred Vanfleet, Steven Adams and DFS we are missing alot of talent, Salary wise. Thats 52 million not competing! The rest of our players are not going to shine properly with out the other helping pieces. So basically what I'm trying to say is…this just might not be our year.
He has certainly seemed to be in a funk. I suspect (A) he is not fully healthy (B) feels unsure about his role and is second guessing himself Regardless, it is on the coaching staff that he is playing on the perimeter and not in the low block. He is utilized incorrectly. Over time, I think regression to the mean is expected for his game/effort/attention, but we will still have the coaching problem.
