Interesting how one year ago most fans on here including some in this very thread defended Sengun against any criticism right or wrong. Now many have turned on him. I never thought he was going to be a great player. Too many flaws and can’t shoot more than 10 ft. No improvements in range for 5 years now.

There was a timeout during that wizards game where Sengun has his head down and walking to the bench alone and Ime is chewing him out and Sengun wanted to say “but, but, but” and Ime wasn’t having it. So Sengun sulked and just let out a deep sigh like a little kid being scolded.

I think Sengun probably needs someone to encourage him. Lord knows he’s getting plenty of scolding and he may not respond favorably to that kind of constant berating.

The thing is; we know that Alpi is capable of great things because we’ve seen glimpses of it. There’s a disconnect somewhere and one explanation could be the way Ime gets onto him. I’m not excusing it; just offering a possible reason.

Setting fake screen for his teammates reminds me of Christian Wood.

I just realised Alpe's downfall might be my fault. My mother in law went to Türkiye for a holiday and I asked her to look out for a Turkish national team jersey for me. Ever since she brought it back he has been ******** the bed. Should I burn it? It is clearly cursed

All the chatter that he is a star got to his head, which leads to him playing way too much hero ball.

This was predictable after the KD comments. I still think the play-in is likely where we'll end up. "You dgaf KD? Well guess what, I don't either". Now watch him get traded and make the leap we expected this season.

It doesn't seem like we have a glue guy, the guy who everyone likes and enjoys playing with. I feel like we vastly undervalued the services of Dillon Brooks.

His whole game is built around post ups and floaters around the baskets but the problem is that he is not good at it and he has regressed for two straight years. Is he battling some sort of injury? Could be, but he has been trash all of this season and partially last season. The guy mentally is toast and his confidence is at all time low. If you are an all star at the age of 23 and have someone like hordford at the age of 39 outplaying your ass, there is something deeply troubling with your game…

Hope he doesn't bottom out his value and trade him after the season. Not winning a ship if he's one of the main players.

No. What we need to do is move Bari back to the bench. Alp has no space to move and it has to ve frustrating. START REED! We're trying to use Alp like we're the old sac kings at the top of the 3pt linr when he isn't even a threat from there. Reed is a great post passer. Amen is ok but no way is as good as reed. If amen is going to get alp the ball he needs to do it the way tmac used to get it to yao. Drive and hand off. If eason can't shoot then start okogie. Reed okogie amen durant alp or alp durant amen eason and reed. Let the boys run and space the floor out.

I also cannot wait until and soft Alphie is off of my team.

Too fat, slow, weak, lazy, and slobbish to be our franchise player.

It's normal that his haters don't remember this because they ignore every single good game but others will remember that he played a fantastic tournament at the Eurobasket and came in peak shape into the season. Started with a 39 point game against OKC where he made a career high five 3s. He averaged around 23 points per game until January. Then we have a sudden drop.

This is a fifth year player. The league hasn't suddenly "figured him out" around new year. It's very obvious that there are some issues behind the scenes. Actually some of the issues are right in front of us, like playing without a PG and coaching.

    So funny.

The team suffocates the paint and then anyone who suffers from it gets thrown under the bus.

I wonder what people think happens when the paint is this packed. You just clap and try harder and things work out ok?

The only thing you can do in this offense is shoot over people and grab offensive rebounds.

I don’t think alpi is the problem. He’s probably injured and fatigued. The offense just sucks.. the spacing is horrific and we have a terribly difficult time executing in the half court. This is true whether Apli is in the game of not..

I just googled and asked if Sengun had a hip injury and it said he had a hip fracture in March 2026. I knew he's avoiding contact on it. It all makes sense now.

Those same guys would sell out their mother, Reed Sheppard and Amen Thompson if they can in a few years.

I have little doubt about it.
