[War] Trump declares war on Iran for regime change

Can anyone confirm/dispute? Do they ever acknowledge a direct hit on their precious?

 

3 F15s lost over Kuwait, 1 or 2 over Iran. Drop in the bucket from a production standpoint. As far as I’ve read, no casualties either. But I don’t trust a word from CENTCOM at this point. Pathological lying is the default for the Israelis, Iranians, and the Americans when reporting about this conflict.

Israelis are also a very self selecting bunch. The Jews who moved to Israel over the past 100 years had no delusions about what it represented. If you disagreed with how the Israelis governed, then you just stayed where you were from. Or if you were born in Israel, you just moved back to where to you came from or move to the US/Western Europe.

 

I am sure your ordinary Israeli is absolutely thrilled to see Iran being destroyed because if you’re Israeli, Iran is the only openly hostile regional power to challenge the validity of your existence. And Iran is a struggling regional power, at best.

Everyone else in the region and frankly world either publicly or privately supports you except the Palestinians themselves.

all that is to say what benefits Israel does not mean it benefits the US and vice versa.

Absolutely not. Even if the Iranians capture a pilot, they’d claim the equipment malfunctioned before admitting that the fighter was lost to hostile action.

And yet in his first year back in office, Trump bombed seven countries: Yemen, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia and Venezuela. Early on Saturday, Trump launched his most extensive, and dangerous, military campaign so far: a war against Iran.

If J. D. Vance promised one thing during the 2024 presidential campaign, it was that America would not enter into a war with Iran of the kind that is currently raging. “America doesn’t have to constantly police every region of the world.

He continued: “Our interest, I think very much, is in not going to war with Iran. It would be a huge distraction of resources. It would be massively expensive to our country.”

In another podcast interview, with Shawn Ryan, in September 2024, Vance even said that a war between Israel and Iran was in fact “the most likely and most dangerous scenario” for provoking World War III.

You know, I know the Trump Pedo Cabal and all their enablers that started this war and committed various other crimes and atrocities need to be prosecuted, but the Air Force or whoever intelligence person who bombed a kids school because they * fed it into a chatbot * bears moral responsiblity here and should face consequences. I hope the Claude people like Dario Amodei are having nightmares too - they contributed to this willfully, notwithstanding the fracas with the Whiskey Pete hegseth last week.

 

We should not be using AI LLMs for war.

They are nowhere near accurate enough, and there is no defensible reason to employ them with lethal force. Doing so would mean we are not valuing civilian life at all, nor our own morals -- we would be no better than terrorists.

Here's the thing, the US has not always acted honorably in the past but the US had a commitment to acting honorably and had a baseline level of expectations that - large numbers of people - tried to live up to and that leaders wanted to be seen living up to

Now in the "Anything Goes" kleptoligarchy of the Trump/Epstein class the US aggressively does not even pretend to act according to any code other than the ruler's self interest.

We are the bad guys, if you're in DoD or DoS you are an instrument of this.
