Yep, I think Ime is finally starting to realize it. He came back to Reed pretty quickly tonight at end of 2nd. He's put together a solid all-around 1st half on O and D.
as long as he gets 30 minutes I'm with with it. If he doesn't, they need to move on from the coach in the very near future
You give Ime too much credit. He’s forced into this with Jabari injured, Tari getting ejected and Amen leaving game early. He literally had no where else to go, if you count FVV and Adam’s 5 of his favorite players were missing
dont let that shooting % fool ya, dude took a couple grenades for the team, this was a pretty above average efficient shooting game for him
Yes he'll play 30+, he just started averaging 30+ minutes consistently. Needs time to get used to it. We still have 20+ games left, Udoka knows what he's doing. He's preparing him correctly, played him 25 minutes until allstar, for him to get in the flow, rhythm, stamina etc., and now he's increasing his minutes. Sheppard was part of the plan all along, thats why Stone didn't make a trade. But you can't just throw him in there for 35+ minutes n mess with his confidence if he doesn't perform. Easy peasy, slow cooking. Y'all need to chill-out on Udoka.
I have noticed when he plays primarily point, he gets a little tired in the end of games to where his shot is short. He will need to work on that. DD
Ime asked after Wiz game if Reed's play might change his lineup decision, he said "We'll see." Seemed agitated at the question-lol. Dude, inquiring minds want to know what's it gonna take to start R33D?
I don't give AF if he starts or not, but it's inexcusable with this trash offense for Reed Sheppard to ever get less than 30 minutes moving forward. Defenses just have no perimeter respect for any of our shooters besides KD. Even if he scores zero points he has a massive impact on what is happening. When he is hitting shots and/or being active he's maybe our second most impactful offensive player. Albeit unlikely, he's the only wild card we have to play that may make this team good enough to make a real postseason run. Reducing him back to bench role player status in favor of KD and the bricklayers is giving up on the season.
