[War] Trump declares war on Iran for regime change

[CNN]Trump tells CNN the ‘big wave’ is yet to come in war with Iran

 

This just means he wants a quick declaration of a win and to move onto other things. People in the media still haven’t learned how to report on Trump after more than a decade.

The Trump regime doesn’t even know who they are to negotiate with anymore. I guess he thinks he’s sending a message to the commander of the Iranian guard but them and their proxies are very fragmented. Even if the IRGC agrees to a cease fire, Hezbollah could simultaneously launch a massive attack in say Jordan and kill hundreds of US soldiers even as the IRGC is negotiating in good faith.

Further evidence Trump has no idea what he’s doing thinking that this is simply another Venezuela.

Side note but we still have no idea if Venezuela is truly as simple of a victory as they think it is. We have no idea what the Chauvistas (who are still in charge) are planning to do despite what they are saying in public with a gun to their head.

Given that our entire military is now fixated on the Middle East, it could leave Venezuela and Cuba blind to striking alliances with China behind our back or something like that. Thinking that the Chauvistas are suddenly our allies because they sold our Maduro is insanity.

 

Unfortunately for Trump, his healthspan is rapidly dwindling. If he followed the typical Boomer curve of treating your body like **** for far too long, he'd be dead by now. The only thing that's kept him afloat is money, and there are limits to even the best healthcare and science.

He doesn't have time to become the emperor.

 

Trump has no idea what he is doing. Nor do Hegseth or any of the other true believers enabling him.

He should be impeached. Now is their chance to get that deranged power monger and war monger out for good. There was no imminent threat to our country. Trump just made up reasons to start a war, skipped Congressional approval, and started bombing away. He's unhinged.

Maybe those who are @basso @tinman monitoring the situation have some information for me ..


But I feel like compared to the aftermath of midnight hammer , there was much more widespread information and media available to consume via X , by that I mean uploader videos of damage . And of course the Normal scepticism that one should approach any online image with .

But now I do not see much , just some missile deflections. Some unexpected damage to US bases . (Claimed)

Is there less smoke ?

Or has ours /Israels intelligence agencies been able to put on a better filter on what we see ?

Its not just Twitter. The algorithm for YouTube is being really bizarre the past 24 hours as well. Even outlets I subscribe to like the Bulwark and PSA, the stuff they have been posting about Iran aren't showing up on my homepage, and I'm getting regurgitated videos from 2 weeks ago. It seems like you really have to be watching MSNow, or the BBC on cable to really keep up with what is happening. Something odd is going on with the socials for sure.

Also YoutTubeTV keeps on taking MSNow off my homescreen, and making me search for it, and instead FoxNews (which I haven't watched in decades) and OAN keep on getting thrown on my "favorites" at the top screen when I log in.

 

I think Thomas Massie is garbage outside of the Epstein Files and this pointless/illegal war with Iran, but when it comes to those 2 situations, he’s better than almost any Democrat

 

To be clear, the origin of the original Epstein transparency bill came from Representative Khanna, not Massie. In fact, the origin of what was from a Khanna staffer who threw out propsing it as an amendment in one of the committees he's on. When he proposed it, Nancy Mace (who was also on the committee) surprisingly voted yes and in private some of the other Republicans on the committee expressed some openness to it. It was supposed to be a small PR stunt that turned into a real legislative vehicle because multiple Republicans (including Massie who wasn't on the committee) were privately expressing support. That ended up turning into the standalone bill that Massie co-authored.

But give credit where it's deserved. Massie wasn't the origin of the bill. He's been the public face of it by design because having a Republican champion the bill was far more effective politically than having Khanna or any other Democrat serve as the face.

Same with stuff around war powers resolutions. That stuff only has a chance when a Republican is the face of the opposition. Now with all of that said, I dont want to diminish the courage to buck the Republican Party leadership the way he has. But he's not "better than any Democrat." He was strategically chosen to be the face of this stuff by design. You hear more from him than any Democrat because that's the only way this stuff gets airtime.
