The little details in movies set me off. I was watching a movie called Good Boy about a haunted house as seen through the eyes of this guy's dog. Owner moves into his grandpa's abandoned house...which is sparkling clean, immaculately painted, no dings, no dust, even under beds or dressers (which you see due to dog's POV). Combined with the poor acting of the dog's owner, I had to stop watching it.

Watching another movie called 'Something in the Dirt' and the sets are lived in. I just appreciate the realism. If I were a director I'd be a tyrant but would want theses minor details to be covered.

Doctor's offices. In this day and age, you should be able to do all your paperwork online before you get there. Even prepay. So when you get there, you should be able to sign in and wait. That's it.

Most of mine are like this, but the one I saw today, I had to fill out literally 8 pages of paperwork. Plus I'm an existing patient so it's the same 8 pages I fill out every visit. Really? You can't just keep it on file from my last visit?

    MY WALLET'S GONE!!!!!

Saw one recently where the wife made a huge breakfast and a catastrophic mess, then had to rush out for work.

I would be so pissed if my wife left me a mess like that in the kitchen.

That’s enough for me to not go back. Get your **** into the 21st century. The biggest reason I go to a big network medical system is because it has Epic and all of my records. Doc asks me some medical history or previous medicine question? I don’t know. Look in Epic. The wait is typically really short, too- they know time is money.

    TSA agents.

I don’t necessarily mind the process in general, but I’m tired of these snippy agents getting annoyed when people ask questions.

None of the airports adhere to the same protocols. Hell, even different terminals in the same airport it’s different rules.

I don’t know when to take my shoes off, leave them on, remove my hoodie, take out my external charger, use a bin for my luggage.

It’s highly annoying. Can we get a country wide standard in place.

Get Pre-Check. They give you a mani/pedi while you’re in line.

I'd guess part of the variability is equipment, randomness. I'd also guess that some of the variability is intentional, as it's harder to defeat an inconsistent system than a consistent one.

Fine, then don’t be an ******* when someone asks questions. It’s not my fault that they’ve had to repeat the same information to thousands of people. I can’t possibly expected to just know the random variation when entering an airport I’ve never been to before. Let alone the fact that airports I do frequent seem to have different rules each time I go.

Yea, the arrogance at some of these wanna be cops is annoying AF, I especially love the guy/gal that have to check your ID and boarding ticket, GOD forbid you step to the counter before there ready or you go the wrong way after they check you...................arrogant MOFO, and it never fails at some airports I take off my shoes only to be looked at like an idiot by one of them for not knowing I didn't need to do that, have some dam consistency everywhere

I don't need your dam attitude at 6:30am trying to board a flight

No argument on the shoes thing, but, you can watch what other people do. If everyone paid attention, these lines would go much, much quicker and these underpaid, overworked people would probably be much more pleasant.

Reiterating that getting TSA Precheck is the way to go. It's not expensive and saves a massive amount of time.

Right and recently I boarded a flight where I did not have to take off my shoes. On the return flight I saw people in front of me start taking their shoes off, so I did the same, and I did not have to do that. One person started doing the wrong thing and everyone else followed. On this same one, had an agent cop an attitude because I removed my external charger from my backpack. The mofo literally just said any electronics LARGER THAN A CELL PHONE need to come out. The audacity…

There’s no way you can possibly defend the behavior rationally. For every, “well you could have…” there’s going to be an equally poignant retort from me.

Keep in mind people traveling are usually tired and wigged out as well. I realize TSA agents may be overworked, but I did not force them to choose that job.

And yes I know pre check etc etc. I’m working on it. I used to not fly that often so it didn’t make that much sense.

Oh those ID checkers. On this same recent flight one got mad bc I tried to show him my boarding pass, which I thought was customary. Turns out he just needed ID.

Not saying you aren't paying attention, but we all know most people don't.

I don't don't argue with plebs as a rule. Charm them, yes.

I'd say if you fly even once a year, PreCheck is still worth it. And it covers your minor children you may be traveling with.

I swear I posted about this but ****it, I'll post again. What is rapidly becoming my biggest pet peeve is contextual references from people where I was not involved in the original conversation. Oh, you called John, thanks for the update. Who is the **** is John and why did you call him? smh

This thread is 86 pages long (LOL) so I'm not sure if I've said this already, but...

The lack of dedicated right-turn lanes. Nothing worse than being in the right lane when you're going straight and the 10 cars behind you are turning right. Don't get mad at me, I'm not the one who designed this intersection...I'm going straight. What do you expect me to do?

Also, why are the lights on major thoroughfares timed so that you hit every single red light at the very beginning of the cycle? I know it's impossible to time lights so that you hit green on every single street but...for major thoroughfares, there's no reason why they shouldn't be timed better.

Finally, people who don't pull up far enough to trigger the sensor that makes the light turn green. Nothing like sitting at a red light without another car in sight except for the one in front of you who refuses to pull up.

If you just know, my wife has it because she had to do some certification for offshore training, and it counts as pre check, so she and our son happily breeze through. She’s been telling me to hold off because she wants us all to get global entry or something, meanwhile it’s like 2 years later and I’m tired of holding off.

I expect you to not be an ******* and get yourself in the other lane. Don’t pretend like you didn’t just pull up to the light not paying attention and then you realized you ****ed up.

In all seriousness, non-protected left turns are exponentially worse.

What if the other lane is left turn only? I'm not turning left, I'm going straight.

I've been told that Global Entry also counts as Precheck. I also hear that since Trump Global Entry isn't as good as it used to be. Either way, we'll be renewing on Global Entry too (should have just said that) when our Precheck is up. The reentry line at IAH ****ing suuuuucks.
