He's definitely not a bust. As of now, Edey has been shut down for the season as they go into full tank mode and don't want to risk his health. The Rockets needed Reed ...and didn't need another big man. The problem with Udoka now, is he can't figure out how to deploy Reed. Reed just keeps producing and forcing his way onto the court despite Udoka's best efforts to overlook him.
I think the pot shot was at a thread that said the Rockets threw away the future by picking Reed and not Edey, or something like that.
Ah. Well both are rounding out to be good players. But things were looking a little touch and go there for a minute. More Reed please.
Ime Udoka cant Coach on offense, plain and simple. Fire Ime Udoka and Hire a Coach that can draw plays on offense and defense. Ime Udoka out of Time Outs is the worst Coach, possessions never work out of Time Outs.
Obviously the fact that DD likes reed sucks, but also OP, chef, and hlm are all super anti reed which is fantastic.
I feel like DD has cursed Reed enough, it's taking a herculean effort for him to get a chance to get on the court (FVV injury, Amen injury, constantly pulled for any tiny mistake, etc). I wish DD stopped cursing our best players with his fandom and just stuck to the KPJs of the NBA. At least the other guys are can't curse like DD can, and if they say your best player sucks, it is guaranteed they are going to be wrong. That's a huge green flag for Reed stardom.
