Trump Orders Federal Agencies To Stop Using Anthropic AI Tech 'Immediately'

President Donald Trump has ordered all U.S. federal agencies to "immediately cease" using Anthropic's AI technology, escalating a standoff after the company sought limits on Pentagon use of its models.

On Friday, OpenAI said it would also draw the same red lines as Anthropic: no AI for mass surveillance or autonomous lethal weapons.

Think about how utterly stupid you gotta be to actually think tariffs will replace income taxes. The government takes in 2-3 trillion dollars in tax revenue yearly. To replicate that in tariffs you would need at minimum 100% tariffs on every import to even come close. @raining threes is sincerely an idiot

Hegseth is abusing his power by labeling Anthropic a supply‑chain risk and barring military contractors from doing business with them. It is absurd to treat the company’s safety standards as a national security threat. These guys use national security as a catch‑all: don’t like someone or something, declare them a national security threat. Anthropic plans to challenge this in court and will likely win.
