This is actually not really always true. The USA was flooded with penniless Italians, Germans, Irish and Swedes. Also, poor Mexicans have been coming to the USA in large numbers for 40 years. I am not telling you that you are necessarily wrong, but that it isn't as clear cut as it would seem - especially long term.

Most of this page is blank for me (ironic thanks be to god) but it's mind boggling that anyone still believes anything this administration spews is truthful or trustworthy.
