Who can we realistically get for Sengun?

Pretty simple, Sengun has value but he has more value when he plays on a team that

-does NOT have fellow non -shooter Amen Thompson on the court 38 minutes a night

-does NOT have Burner Durant operating in the same spots and grousing all the time

Defense, idk, he can be ok if you surround him hardcore defenders, but this usually includes non shooters

Anybody got names? I think Milwaukee is not going to want him

Orlando (Paolo? Brings some of the same problems but also is better in some areas)

Chicago (have no good players other than maybe Buzelis & the salaries don't match)

Toronto (idk, a crap contract like poeltl or quickly and a first? Barrett?)

    NO for Murphy or ....Zion?

    PHX for Green ?

    Portland for Sharpe? scoot?

trading Sengun should be centered around a valuable draft pick in the 26 draft. We should also trade Durant if it’s possible to not take back an albatross contract. I don’t think Indy would do it, but this would be a great off-season and would set us up better for when we finally can Ime:

Why would we want to trade him for ****ing Jalen Green? Is that not just swapping him for the same problem at a different position? I can't believe his die-hards jinxed him into complete collapse with all their non stop bragging, dude looked like a ****ing superstar coming in from the offseason...

The salaries match & Green is a worse player but a better fit with Durant & the rest of the Roster.

Rockets have nobody who can create from off the dribble who you have to guard out to the line - NOT ONE SINGLE GUY - this is death to spacing

I really don't see it. I'm sure the Suns would do it, it'd allow them to win the trade even more than they already did.

Sengun is not playing well and is definitely not thriving on the current version of the Rockets, but I'd change the direction of the team and get rid of Durant before I would trade him.

If this season ends the way we think it will then all options should be on the table. I wouldn't be mad at a trade like this.

Durant for Herro would be better and should be able to wrangle a draft pick out of it. We can do better for Sengun.

Rockets cannot be built around 2 non shooters - we have 2 years of data!

The double big was a cope, a salve, a balm

Get rid of Sengun or Thompson. That's the decision point, Durant is irrelevant to that

Durant is going to hog the ball no matter who we bring in and make every other offensive option moot. Why not both? We can get real assets for both Sengun and Durant and re-set around Amen, Reed, Jabari, and Tari. If you trade Sengun to Miami, you better be getting Adebayo and more in return. I think there is plenty of a market for Sengun with his contract. There’s a huge market for Amen as well, but you shouldn’t trade the only guy on your team with a chance at superstardom.

Sengun is like a Sabonis, and we see how the league values him these days

Sengun still has the “young with potential” label even tho he’s been the same guy for 2-3 years now, so if they’re trying to get something for him, they’d better do it soon

as much as I dislike Stone, he at least had the foresight to not offer a player like Sengun a max rookie extension…and for that, I salute him, because there are many teams that would’ve made that mistake

I don't think the trade market for Sengun is big - the same problems the Rockets have any other team will have

It's like the Sabonis trade market

He either goes someplace that has nothing or has tons of 3&D support & no post players

Get Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green back for Sengun and this team overnight turns into an exciting contender with an identity.... Next year's starting lineup would be a nightmare for teams...

    FVV
    Jalen Green
    Dillon Brooks
    Dickerson
    Adams

Amen, Jabari and Tari come off the bench...

Except Phoenix would never do it.. Stone is da real r****d....

Wtf are we talking about Jalen Green for? He's been bad and injured in Phoenix. Just sign Cam Thomas for nothing in the offseason if you want Jalen back.

So the original trade would be Sengun for Durant?

Lord have mercy CF would have rioted.

100% agreed. Fred VanVleet is not the difference between KD working with this roster or not. I hope they ship him off asap.

I think they have deluded themselves so far ahead that they think VVleet and KD can bring a championship and if both were 25-28 that is at least on the table......

If not ACL, Fred would have had a hamstring thing, and KD as well, and they would have missed 30 games instead of 80......but still.

Some players in Sengun's PER range - this is just a thought exercise - with higher TS%:
    Michael Porter Jr
    Deni Avdija
    Devin Booker
    Trey Murphy
    Jaylen Brown
    Tyrese Maxey
    Anthony Edwards
    James Harden
    Jarrett Allen
    Lauri Markkanen
    Jalen Brunson

So Sengun is an odd player, because he is right in that zone where elite role players and cornerstone players crossover though he has significant flaws that will impact a playoff team.

Trade him for an elite role player and Rockets feel like they lose the trade. Meanwhile, GMs delete your number if you call about the stars on that list. I dont think Utah moves Markkanen anymore.

I think he has to be in a package.
