Cmon he's the president of the USA. When Potus tells you're going to 5x your money and allows you to use your debit card to buy something the blame has to be on the president. He's actively scamming regular Americans who did nothing wrong

There's something wrong with this country that we've all become such sheep. And I hate using that word given the pop culture connotations, but it really seems to be the only word that applies. Sheep just begging to be shorn or slaughtered. I begin to wonder if the period after WWII until about the 1980's was just TOO stable, TOO safe, and TOO fair such that we've created all these lemmings who'll just follow the other lemmings off of a cliff and don'[t know not to stick their fork into an electrical socket, and can't fend for themselves when the wolves come around and are looking for a meal. I don't like the idea of stupid people getting screwed, but maybe it's like herd immunity. You need everybody to be exposed to just a little of that when they're young so they have the wherewithal to fight it off when they are older? I used to have a better opinion of the average American. Maybe I was just naive. It seems people taking advantage of people and other scammy abusive schemes are running through this country like small pox when the Europeans came to the New World - like there's no cognitive "immune system".
We're throwing around the word scam here but there are legal definitions and specific laws regarding all this stuff. Securities have a special carve out for a reason, whereas inert, non-contractual **** like $trump doesn't. I feel bad for people that get taken by things like Enron or Theranos. I don't feel bad for people who buy into plainly speculative memes.
