FVV's injury is not about Fred being awesome. It's the fact 1) he's "good" AND 2) there's no legit backup. Rockets need as many 2-way players as possible -- who do we currently have??.. Tari??.... maybe none. THAT’s a major flaw for any team -- a lack of 2-way players. Most of our 1-way guys aren't good enough at the 1.

Rockets biggest miscalculation might be Fred's previous injury history. Even before his current health, he should have been slated for 26-28min this season. THAT should have effected his contract (too late now). Reed hadn't shown enough last year to be trusted 24-26min this year. Amen at PG is prob a net negative and seemed a silly idea to begin with. The plan for Fred next season should be 24-26.
