At the beginning of the season Cenac was projected to be a top 5 pick. Now he’s been sliding to the tail end of the 1st round on a lot of mock drafts. It would do him a lot of good to work out a lot of his kinks in college, without the pressure of being called a bust after one or two season in the NBA.

I hate pointing a finger, because Sampson is an ALL TIME GREAT but I think he let Sharp sit out too long. I thought he should have brought him back at the 5 minute mark.

It's so easy to armchair criticize in retrospect. I ain't too mad about the game. We'll beat them 4 out of 5 on a neutral court, IMHO.

Cenac shoots his 3s with a bit of flying elbow. I'd suggest he tuck that in and get under that shot, get a little better lift, and more consistent touch and backspin on the ball.

Cenac has Jabari syndrome on offense. He does one thing really well. Which is to just stand outside the arc. The mind is the most difficult thing to change, but he also lacks the same skills that Jabari lacks. So there is a lot of work to be done against nba level resistance. Not sure he can get enough time here ( or money ) to change that anytime soon. Tugs is about as good a practice partner and mentor for him as he can get, but he needs a lot of time, patience, and repetition to evolve. More than he can get here. If he could get some nba level resistance in the summer that could speed up the change, but he’ll need to fish for that.

Who was that BIG that left UH after his first year and has now disappeared in the NBA? At least I have not heard of him again. He was a pretty good three-point shooter like Cenac.

Well, I guess Texas Tech's all "big and bad" phase of the season is over. Humility does make rounds.

Didn't know about Toppin when I wrote this. I was referring to their road loss to Arizona State. I never wish injuries on teams.

I assumed you knew before you posted that...but I refrained from calling you an a-hole yesterday ;)

I appreciate your "restraint." By the way, I "generally" enjoy your "salty" posts.

This is an epic preliminary screwjob, by far the toughest of the brackets. Today and Monday are huge for the Coogs.

Seems like they keep digging themselves in early holes recently, even the games they’ve won…

They aren't a scoring team. I like Sampson and what he's done but you're not going to get to the top with the current roster. You'll win games (which UH has done) but you're not winning it a national championship

Goaltending. No call. College officiating is so so bad. Ticky tack foul calls whenever. No calls elsewhere.
