If he had been a better person, I'd have more to say about his passing. He was a piece of ****, so all I can say is condolences to his family for their loss.

He was one of the Greatest Americans of our time
He did more for people and did more to make this country Great

I'm not going to go into details because it's not appropriate for this forum but suffice it to say that when they are a piece of ****, like Jackson, who cosplay as a reverend, that's what you'll see.

You'll likely see something similar when Joel Osteen dies.

I'm sure Osteen's marks will say the same when he passes. That's just how it goes with con men.

he was a truly inspirational speaker, at least in his early '70s guise. There's a speech I can't locate, where he talked about how if (paraphrasing) "black children can run faster and jump higher on inadequate diets, then they can read, and do math on those same inadequate diets." my google fu is failing me, but it's a line I've remembered for 50+ years.

and this "we've shifted from Burn, Baby, Burn to Learn, Baby Learn."

Sadly, in an effort to broaden his appeal with Democrats, he embraced antisemitism, communism, and other tyrannical "isms" of the day, much like our modern progressives.

    RIP.

I still remember this skit. And I still say it when my kids ask me a question. They have no idea what I'm referencing.

Jackson had a surprisingly good sense of comedic timing.

I suppose I should think of it this way, Kirk died young, and the real usually dies old. RIP to you for fighting for the cause they want to now break down and crush into dust.

I don't recall Osteen being a community divider. But I could be wrong and wouldn't be surprised.

Osteen reminds me of a multilevel marketing scam. Get 10 of your friends to join and pay tithes and we will give you a paying part time gig in the inner circle.

The details of their grifts are different because the two con men were looking to scam different marks, but they are the same when it comes to what they are deep down.

I looked up the controversies and it's nothing compared to people currently elected in office. He still remains one of the most influential civil rights leaders after the death of MLK.

RIP Jesse Jackson, and condolences to his family.
