The Supremacy Clause ensures that federal law rules where it conflicts with state law, sure. But it doesn't make the state subordinates to the federal government in all things. One of the particular things is that they can't just summarily order state law enforcement to enforce federal laws. If SCOTUS said they'd have to, they'd basically kick the constitutional legs out from under any state sovereignty whatsoever.

 

He wasn't pardoned of any sexual crime; he was pardoned for whatever his participation on January 6th was. He later committed a sex crime (which I guess Trump should have known he was going to do when he pardoned him?). It is a big of sleight of hand in his argument. About 1 in 422 Americans is a sex offender, so if you pardon 1,600 people from January 6th, odds are there are going to be four sex offenders in the bunch, give or take (probably higher than that, since that crowd skewed male). It's like meeting someone at an event that has the same birthday as you; it seems like a big coincidence, but roughly 1 in 365 people share your birthday.

This guy sucks at math. $280 million was to capture 4,000 (70k per capture). It isn't that 30 of the captures cost $9 million each and the rest were free.
