Sengun - I have been saying this is his peak, he won't get much better - but his peak is pretty flipping good - however, in order to win in the modern league, you need to have a 3pt shot, a good one - and he is still below par there. - nothing wrong with looking around to see what you can get for him.

Lean into Reed, Amen and Tari - IMHO - anyone else could be flipped.

Don't flip for OLDER guys, try to find younger - still pissed we let Cam go for nothing he would have been a piece to develop.

Force Ime to hand over the offense to an offensive coordinator. If he refuses, fire him too.

Trade Durant for expiring’s/pick

Move Smith if he can go for neutral value

Re-sign Tari

Evaluate Amen/Sengun for half a season under the new offensive system, if they still look incompatible, consider trading one next deadline.

Both Texans and Rockets have very pivotal future altering offseason ahead of, but unfortunately I feel neither will actually make any crucial
Moves to course correct.

Their too stuck up their own asses on what we have “already accomplished “ and are delusional to think we’re just “one move away” or once the injure players come back we’re already there.

If either franchise had won a championship within the last decade, I could understand the arrogance (hence Astros get a pass). But the fact they have the egos they do with not even a Conference FINALS or Super Bowl appearance is baffling to me.

 

Sengun is an All Star not a Superstar. He was supposed to be a #2 guy its not his fault Jalen didnt live up to his draft order I wish you guys would understand that. Its like Expecting Jalen Duren to average a triple double if Cade sucked. If youre expecting Sengun to play like a superstar youre an idiot Im sorry he's playing ahead of his draft position and by all rights we should be praising him as the only bright spot being a 16 pick allstar when our top 3 picks have done nothing. You guys make me sound like a Sengun only fan when is reality I actually had more hope for Amen and Reed because of their draft positions. Stone has shat the floor with every pick but Sengun and yet everyone hates him make it make sense.

 

Can you walk me through why you want to trade Sengun? I don't mean to debate his ability, we agree that he's not a star, but still a great player. Why don't you want a player like that on your team? Relative to draft position he is by far the best pick we've made over the course of the rebuild. I get being disappointed with his development but I don't get the logic behind wanting to trade him.

 

If KD is still ont his team next year and we havent gotten a young point guard Im just gonna stop being a Rockets fan.

 

How is a two time all star who can lead a Western team to 50 wins not a star?

 

He did not lead ****. And hes only an all star becuase of injuries

The problem came when he over perfomed and people started to notice and give him credit (rightfully earned) and calling him baby Jokic.

so now everyone expects him to ACTUALLY be Jokic. Unfairly put on him, but that’s life.

Look at every player that was called Baby Jordan or next Jordan.
They didn’t live up to the hype.
Kobe was the closest one and he still didn’t quite accomplish what Jordan did.
You could say LeBron did, but once again, he still fell short in a lot of ways and in the ways he did surpass him, it was more due to longevity then a season to season comparison. And I personally always think LeBron was Magic Johnson 2.0 NOT Jordan and ironically he still didn’t win as many rings as Magic.
But just comparing LeBron to himself makes him all time great regardless , he can only be pulled down some when comparing him to other previous all time greats.

So case in point, him being labeled the next great player screwed him as far as expectations and legacy goes.

 

He doesn’t seem to be progressing at the rate everyone assumed he would be, in fact he seem to be REGRESSING in a lot of ways.

He is not showing he has a killer instinct or clutch gene.

I hate saying this stuff because I been pro Sengun and I even drafted him on my fantasy team because I thought got him for a steal in the draft. But I’m a realist and truth is truth.

The part I hate most and it pains me to have to admit . (I’m slightly throwing up rn)
Dallas & Spurs technically started their rebuilds AFTER us but they already look to be on pace if not surpassing us by next season. They both already have their legit young superstar that everyone knows is going to be a superstar and they can count on in Wemby & Cooper Flagg.” And they are younger and have less NBA experience than Sengun.

Now compare Sengun to both of them and you tell me do you honestly see him as impactful as them?

 

Thats a major upgrade and I like it.

 

What about KD?

 

Kinda funny. Last year Houston was right there with SAS and OKC for best young teams. Now fans, media have realized Ime is very overrated and the young guys on this roster have some serious flaws. For all the franchise player threads we have its ironic we still don't have a franchise player. I know the Turkey boys will be flocking out to say he is the franchise but lets be serious for a minute lol.

 

Lebron is nowhere near Jordan and I struggle to put him in the same league as Magic. His chips came from jumping from team to team and he has accumulated stats. It boils down to basic basketball knowledge and I feel like Clutchfans is lacking in that area.

 

The 2 time all-star who played maybe 8 mins total in 2 years of All-star games lol. And when he was on the court last night he looked like someone snuck in a bad role player and let them play, and I say that as a Sengun fan. As disappointing as it is to say it, he's massively underwhelmed compared to what we thought, and genuinely hasn't really shown that much growth at all this season, there hasn't been the leap.

 

He’s 2-3 all time: there has never been a goat debate.
