Astros trade Jesus Sanchez for Joey Loperfido

I like this trade. Loperfido back and Sanchez gone is a win/win.

The position player roster went from a C - to a C

That is because of Joey's versatility and ability to be sent to AAA if necessary.

The trade is a B because it gives $6M back to use on salary and it gets rid of that dumbass smile.

Adding a decent backup catcher gets it closer to a C + but not quite.

Trading Walker or Paredes for a legitimate impact LH bat makes it a B - to B + depending on the deal.

 

Hated thinking about having to root for Sanchez. Something about his personality.

 

Hated his defense. Can’t hit much. Good riddance.

 

His first couple of weeks when he was roping the ball all over RF was fun...after that, not so much

 

Good to have Joey back................he can be trade bait for later in the year
