2 months after Trump 2.0's inaugural, Hospice / Nursing Home industry gets reprieve as Trump admin pauses oversight program A federal effort to increase oversight of hospice care / nursing home has been put on hold by the Trump administration, resetting efforts to root out fraud and abuse in an industry that receives more than $25 billion from Medicare annually.
There have always been people like that, and when they identify with someone just like them they're attracted like flies on sh*t. It's not everyone though, and not all of Trump's supporters fall into that mold. Sure, a lot of them are just like him. The really selfish, racist, male chauvinistic pigs, womanizers, bully types, and those who would sell their soul to the devil if they got something out of it in return. But, I really believe that a lot of them are just so damn naive and gullible that they are desperate to believe he is telling them the truth, and cares about them. Those gullible and naive supporters are desperate to believe he's a man of integrity, a man who lives a moral Christian life, and a man who is sacrificing his paycheck and life for them. Those are the fools he gets to buy his overpriced and gaudy Trump merchandise and trinkets, his Trump Bibles, and all the Trump souvenirs. He even persuaded those fools to send him money for bail and lawyers in one breath, while bragging about his wealth, resorts, hotels, and golf courses in the next breath.
If the Ds win back the House and impeach Failed Business Tycoon Donald Tump, is there enough ink in the world for the House Ds to finish the Articles of Impeachment?
"He writes, in part: "You know what the difference is between the Biden family business and the Trump family business? You'd have to add two digits to the sum of Biden abuses of power, foreign entanglements, and corruption alleged in the report to get near what Trump has raked in just from the UAE." lol. The MAGA dumbasses @Os Trigonum @tallanvor will just ignore it
The craziest thing isnt the corruption but how the MAGAts @raining threes @strosb4bros @ROXRAN will tell you with a straight face that Trump is fighting corruption lmao. Imagine the brain rot these people have
This is the most shamelessly, brazenly, openly corrupt and compromised government in modern American history and, astonishingly, the person who sits at the center of much of that corruption and compromise isn’t even a member of the government: It’s Jared Cory Kushner, First Son-in-Law. What on Earth was Jared Kushner, a private citizen, doing involving himself in Middle East peace talks to begin with, given his own financial ties to Gulf governments and illegal Israeli settlements, as well as his long-standing relationship – since childhood! – with Benjamin Netanyahu? What was this private citizen doing meeting with Vladimir Putin before even Trump Cabinet officials did? Why has this walking conflict of interest been inserting himself into US diplomatic affairs after telling the media in 2024 that he had no intention of returning to government work? “He gets involved with government-run investment funds, and those governments also happen to want things from the American government,” Jordan Libowitz, a vice president with the government watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), told Bloomberg News in December. “So you have a president’s son-in-law financially entangled with foreign governments, and what’s good for him might not be what’s good for the American people.” The word “might” is doing some serious heavy lifting in that sentence. It is also worth remembering that Kushner was a failed property developer prior to 2016, but he and Ivanka reportedly increased their combined wealth by $82 million by the end of Trump’s first term in office. Now, barely a year into his father-in-law’s second term, Kushner is a billionaire, according to Forbes. https://blackstarnews.com/why-is-trumps-son-in-law-jared-kushner-redacted-from-epstein-files/
Normalizing diplomatic relations between Israel and a number of Muslim states. Abraham Accords - Wikipedia
While up to his neck in conflicts of interest. Don't tell me he doesn't have his own plans to use his wife's Daddy's influence and power by appointing him as an advisor and Peace Board member to help him make billions with his money making real estate plans in Gaza. He and Donald's own personal financial ties run deep in the governments of the Middle East.
Yeah dude I love how you forget to mention that UAE invested 2 billion in his investment fund even though Jared never ran a investment firm in his life. I also love how you forget to mention UAE buying billions of Trumps fake crypto scam to launder money to him as well. You have to be brainwashed to think anyone in the Trump family cares about peace
The question was, what was Jared Kushner doing involving himself in Middle East peace talks. The answer is he was negotiating the most successful Middle East peace deals since Egypt normalized relations with Israel. I'm no fan of the corruption. I would prefer no one in public service be allowed to conduct any sort of business dealings (private investment, running hedge funds, selling crypto, whatever) and just receive their salary (we can allow pensions that are not controlled or influenced by the public servants themselves). I am not going to pretend it is limited to Trump and his circle, when so many members of Congress of both parties are all on the same grift, benefitting from their insider power and knowledge. I am also not going to pretend that the Abraham Accords were not a major diplomatic accomplishment. We can recognize that Kushner did a great thing, even while condemning the corruption.
You are leaving out the whole context of that question from the article. Context makes a difference. It was about his conflicts of interest and his business ties in the Middle East.
Untangling all of this is going to be a chore, but the good news is that there are now hundreds, if not thousands, of ex-DOJ lawyers who will happily do the work. More concerning to me is the amount of federal records that will be shredded or stolen and the massive forensic audits that will need to take place at every major agency and little corner of the federal government. That will need to be done before we can start thinking about policy again.
This is the new Michigan/Canada bridge, right? The Infrastructure President can be swayed, don't think he has any principles or a price tag too high.
