We are regressing as a team despite what is supposed to be development leap years for our young core. And we have this built in excuse that two of our old, injury prone players are well…injured. And this rose colored bullsh#t that they’ll be fully healthy next season and will save our franchise. This is a straight up bad product. Some of it is roster and some of it is coaching, but it’s not good enough and the org needs to take a good look in the mirror. Because this team is playing embarrassing basketball. We are definitely not as good as our record. Sticking with this plan is dumb.
You can explain our high ORtg in two words: Offensive Rebounding TS% 22nd eFG% 18th TOV% 27th Ast% 29th FT% 27th 3PM 26th OReb% 1st If they counted each offensive rebound as a new possession, our ORtg would be in the bottom 10.
I’d like to see this lineup a lot going forward. Sengun KD Amen Tari Reed Bari off the bench playing lots at the 5/4 Okogie off the bench playing 2/3 The JD minutes look decent, they should sprinkle him in. Sprinkle in Holiday for more shooting. it’s not enough shooting, but DFS hasn’t come around and we didn’t make any moves at the deadline. It’s better than doing the same thing we’ve been doing.
I've been lit up for this, but I watch the Kings quite a bit. Russ has been great but DRoz and Zach cannot play together, AND (allegedly) don't like each other off of the court. Anyway DRoz would be great here and he's close to both KD, Russ and Harden. Dennis the Menace and Keon were rescued by the Cavs thankfully. Another name floating around is Dougie Fresh. He desperately wants out of Sac-town and a chance to shoot for a team. My guy in Indy said he's a great locker room guy as well. We would do well with some outside shooting for spacing and Doug can/was/is a sniper. Still, we need another big. Is Kelvin Cato in shape? Javale McGee? (As long as Shaw doesn't laugh at us every night)
