My older friend in 6erville says Paul has been struggling due to personal and familial reasons. He was micro dosing a combination of ketamine and mushrooms as part of private, progressive treatment of depression, anxiety and especially PTSD. He made a mistake as both substances are not NBA approved. That money he's losing is crazy (deserved, but Jesus). I hope he gets the help he needs. I admire his accountability. Edit: never shaming someone seeking mental health support. During my cancer treatment, I engaged in structured mdma therapy that really helped. And, microdosing shrooms can really address physical and emotional pain. *Just wanted to be open and acknowledge my own choices rather than appearing to judge PG. Take care of yourselves. Life is so damn hard and support looks incredibly different, accessible and affordable for those in need.
I won't shame him but I don't buy it. Those are two things that need to be approved and he should have a team around him that checks that. He makes enough money to do it. O think blaming on mental health is an excuse. I hope you're still recovering and doing well. I've experienced in my family (not personally) but I see what a terrible disease it is. You'll pull through
This made my evening. Thank you for the kind words. I'm surviving but life has definitely been different for me after years of battling. My professional endeavors slowed down as traveling all week was not an option with chemo. Still, I work from wherever I'm at at the time and I can be efficient . The best is still being able to talk to friends in person. If it's an artist, NBA player or regular guy like most of us, I make sure to savor the moment and give gratitude to the people who talk with me. Cancer taught me gratitude in each moment that I have genuine connections or conversations. I'm always going to have the big C...it's now a matter of monitoring it, and hopefully, nothing in the blood work shows an increase or decrease. And, I'm no longer afraid of scans...I used to light up like a Christmas tree before treatment, but recently, I have smaller lights that aren't nearly as bright. Thank G-d and science . Thanks again for thinking of me in your post. You're a great human.
No problem and you're very welcome. Obviously when you go through something like you're dealing with it's impossible for life not to change but from everything I've read on here you seem like a strong person who can get through it. That's an awesome attitude to take. You have a great perspective and you never know. Don't count yourself out. It doesn't matter who we are. You can be a million dollar athlete or someone who works construction. It all hits the same and we're all people. I'd be happy to buy you a beer (if that's possible) if you're able to. I know you have more pressing issues obviously. As I said, you're going to make it through this. You always will always have people who care about you. They'll be your backbone. Look at how you're respected on a Rockets message board. Sure. They'll be some assholes but the vast majority are rooting for you. Know that. God is good. No problem and my pms are always open. Keep your head up years from now people (including yourself) will be proud of how you are still beating it and talking Rockets with you
Towards the very back of the CBA, the listing of Drug related things starts at Exhibit I. The verbiage about the Anti - Drug program starts at page 481 (using the PDF page numbers). CBA Download Link
I might be in the minority here, but I honestly don’t give a damn if athletes take PEDs. They’re all doing it anyway. Shaq basically confirmed it.
He didn’t out right confirm it but he alluded to it. Shaq said the banned substance paper not only tells you what substances were banned but how long the band substance stays in your system. Shaq finished by saying that all players know they get tested 3 times a year and PG should know better. I’m not surprised. You’d have to be incredibly naive to assume professional athletes aren’t using PEDs
Good call. PEDS mixed with ketamine is not smart if you know the time frame of testing. I'm still curious what was in OJ Mayo's system. Dude was majorly talented but , if I recall correctly, he was ultimately banned from the league based on his drug test. I can only imagine it was a cocktail from the trap house...
