EU platforms won't be your free speech haven. They'll moderate as much or more, just in a different direction than X does now. The EU has far stricter content moderation laws (hate speech regulations, anti-nazi, etc) that EU companies must follow.

Where the EU actually excels is user data rights and privacy under GDPR. The U.S. is way behind on protecting your data and privacy from social media platforms and other services.
