Yep. I don't think there is any conspiracy theory, you see it too. Whenever games get close he swaps in his best defenders. Just how he thinks. It's not going to change. He doesn't hate Reed or have anything against him he's just terrified of playing him on defense in closing minutes.

Sucks we did not win in regulation because it would have been two games in a row where Reed came in and helped in clutch time.

safe to say ime hasn't adapt well this year.

 

Jabari is a role player until proven otherwise at this point. Just like most role players, he plays a lot better at home than on the road. Usually.

In this order by the measure of cringe I'm experiencing...Jabari, KD, Tari, Alpi. They all make me cringe when they put the ball on the floor.

 

I don't want to hear a damn thing about Reed's defense. I watched all of his minutes, his defense wasn't bad. It's like Ime only sees the defensive side of the ball. He puts that offensive lineup in there with Reed at PG and we get back in the game. He refuses to accept that offense can win games just as easily as defense can. I've never seen a coach that is so hell bent on playing defensive lineups. Its just really bad coaching all around.

 

Our offense is just as inconsistent as our defense.

 

Ime is an incompetent coach.

Who could predict that would happen after the Rockets subtracted 2 former All-Defensive team players from their closing lineups

 

What else do your expect from offense idiot Ime Udoka?

 

Texans loss really made me not care about sports anymore. I cant even be mad because i know the city of Houston will never have anything nice.

 

I feel like Ime still coaches this team as if it is last years team and as if it has last year's team identity.

It's defensively a lot slower. Jalen Green might have been wildly inconsistent on offense, but on defense he was solid, and no this isn't me saying Green is better than KD, just that defensively having all this length makes little sense if you're so slow that you have to play zone as much as we do, which is basically 'Let's hope they miss shots so we can get rebounds'.

Fact is, with Alpi and KD (at 37) being your offensive cores you have to accept that this team is not going to win many games on grind it out hustle and defense. The team's identity should be far more half court based and more methodical on offense because as we see night in and night out other teams just push the pace against us and we have issues keeping up.

 

I expect a lot more. I don't even see us making a trade either...

QUESTION: Why was the Tyrese Maxey attempt at the end of regulation not reviewed for goaltending?

GOBLE: By rule, a goaltending would have to be called on the floor in order for that play to be reviewed. In real time the officiating crew felt it was a good blocked shot.

QUESTION: What caused the inadvertent whistle?

GOBLE: When the official recognized the timeout request by coach Udoka, the official then realized that there was no possession at the time and the timeout could not be granted and that resulted in an inadvertent whistle.

QUESTION: And because even though there was a stoppage in play there, because the original call wasn’t goaltending, that’s why you couldn’t then go review after that even though there was a stoppage in play?

GOBLE: Correct
