Amen and Jabari's performance is directly dependent on Sengun; they are at this level thanks to the space he opens up and the binary compressions.
Celtics have the perfect trade exception to fit Bari in. Trade exception may become our franchise player.
Still going by what I said 4 years ago. Jabari’s peak is Thaddeus Young and I don’t think he is even on that level.
Whilst licking perpetually dry lips, but, to be fair, without video, we'll just have to remember the image from, say, any interview Jabari has ever done.
Same old same old. JSJ has a hot streak, JSJ lovers clamour for him. JSJ has regression; JSJ haters come out. I'm happy with his improvement this season. I expect hiccups.
How do you know if he improves or not if you dont mention percentages? Do you have perfect memory and remember every shot he took for the entire year?
As for Jabari, it is pretty clear now he was overrated as a prospect mainly due to how weak and shallow the 2022 class was. This was also before attending draft combine was mandatory so everyone just assumed he was this athletic beast kinda like Giannis but with shooting. Instead he is just an average athlete with good length, no burst and quickness like Amen and no coordination and fluidity like Sengun. He has really good bball IQ so he is a plus defender and rebounder but the tools to dominate arent really there. Its also clear he isnt a "pure" shooter, he seems to be more of a streaky shooter given how you cant count on him to score on open shots. Just watching him it doesnt seem like he has that shooter's touch that Sengun has, when Sengun shoots the ball and misses, it rolls at the rim and has a chance of dropping in but when he shoots and misses it clanks off the rim and can give opponent a fast break. What I'd like to see for him is to work more on his inside game and learn some power moves inside. He doesnt need to dribble the ball but learn some gather and euro steps that will allow him to get a layup, dunk or foul. Stop with the KD impersonation because he isnt KD, when he rises for that mid range J unlike KD he just clanks it even if he is taller than everyone else.
I'm probably a JSJ hater to most JSJ fans here, but he's gotten a lot better at dribbling. It doesn't always help as he's forcing sometimes. Lately, the paint has been clogged such that he's kind of reverted back to being a statue. He's still not good at POA, but he's gotten better there. He's gotten good, not great, at being the low man on defense, though he seems to get fewer opportunities this season with Durant and him sharing that duty. I expect ups and downs in his performance. 2-3 games ago, his season-to-date stats were great for his career. Today they are meh. I expect something in between by the end of the season. I think the JSJ is in the Top 4 of the best Rockets/can't be upgraded except with a better version of JSJ is crazy talk. I think he hasn't improved is also crazy talk. He's much more active than he was 2 years ago (i.e., is more responsible for his scoring) even though he still is well below average in playmaking.
Jabari fans be like: we know he can't dribble, shoot, rebound or defend........ but the only player I'll trade him for is SGA or Luka.
Yea that made no sense, Amen has been playing pretty damn good, with or without Sengun. He's establishing himself as part of a "big 3" with Sengun and KD.
So when you talk about someone's improvement, you specifically mention %? You don't mention ball handling, rebounding, post ups, defense, driving ability, shot blocking, etc? Now that we got that settled, name me what he specifically improved in. Like when we mention Sengun's improvement, you can mention his defensive improvement, his ball handling, confidence, his shooting, etc.
