I think Cade is awesome but as I alluded to earlier, its the SYSTEM and the COACH! If a player is in the perfect system to fit what he does best, he is going to flourish and if he has a coach that knows how to get the best out of that player, you're naturally going to be at your best. Cade has that and its showing.

Here, the offense was divisive. One game its Sengun and FVV, the next Jalen, the next its because we just outrebounded the opponent. Nothing was consistent/fluid. Still, he lead the team in scoring, improved defensively and became more of a playmaker.

To me, he went through the same thing CJ Stroud is going through now with Demeco. Everything is centered around defense and although he is naturally a playmaker and he thrives in a different style, they want him to temper what he does best.

 

Why would a team refuse to trade Jalen for Giannis is beyond me.

They should consult with the Rockets whether we were satisfied with the Jalen for KD trade. While I believe Giannis will decline sharply soon, I think he will probably have as many high productive years left in his tank as Durant does. Trading Jalen Green for those guys is a no brainer.

 

I;m pretty sure they weren't offering Giannis, they're looking to get bits that make him want to stay. I hear they were going to hire Silas and bring John Wall out of retirement. Get the band back together.

The Suns wouldn't have done it but I would have traded Jabari or Reed before I traded Jalen. Maybe they would have done Reed but his value was super low.
