Cam. However, because of dubon going after the ball caused Cam to not be able to go after the ball full speed. Cam would have crashed into Dubon for sure had he try to catch that ball full effort.
Expanding on this…before the season I said I could see him having a Jackson Merrill type year. Both very similar in that they had barely any experience at the AA level and unexpectedly won the job in spring training. Jackson Merrill’s stats through May were VERY similar to Cam. His OPS was below .700 with only 3 homers. He turned it on the rest of the season and never looked back. It’s extremely hard to hit MLB pitching, especially without time in AA+. The fact Cam didn’t look completely lost is a testament to how good this kid is going to be.
