    I totally remember that place. It was at 610 and Westeimer, I believe. I remember the pond and also that you sat on pillows on the floor instead of chairs and they only gave you chopsticks.

    Watched an episode of the Simpsons that featured Duff Gardens (a spoof of Busch Gardens) and it reminded me that for a very brief time in the '70's Houston had a Busch Gardens amusement park. We went once and all I remember was the overpowering odor of birdsh!t.

    It shut down after a couple of years due to low attendance.

    I grew up in Sunnyside back when MLK was still South Park...
    • Telephone Road (good times & trouble)
    • Weatherby Arms Museum (near the Dome)
    • Texas Tapes & Records (worked in the head shop for a spell)
    • King Center Drive-In (Prince's next door)
    • Jamail's Grocery on Kirby
    • Almeda Mall (mentioned but the store behind it was cool)
