Spurs acquire De’Aaron Fox; Zach LaVine to Sacramento

Can't trade chemistry. Everybody on this team knows their role. Best I would hope for is Whitmore + Reed swapped for Sexton and Landale swapped for cap savings.

 

That seems like pretty unfair criticism to me. Fred is an excellent ball handler. Turnovers are not his issue. The shot, on the other hand, has been a problem thus far this season.

But yes. It would be far more painful for me. That guy is a narcissist, a flat earther, an antisemite and an anti-vaxxer. He's the Kanye West of the NBA. There is literally nobody in the NBA that I would find it more difficult to root for.

 

Feels like S.A. made out like bandits here. Traded a bunch of nothingburger picks for Fox.

Fox would have been a nice upgrade over FVV. Knowing how little the Spurs gave up, I would have been down to part with a FRP and some seconds to grab him for this and next year. The issue is his upcoming extension which I'm not sure we'd be able to afford and pay our young guys.

in view of this, should Spurs use some of these picks to pry LeBron loose from the Lakers, to help him make his last Championship run ?

Jesus, I know it’s not comparable to how the Mavs got fleeced, but what the flying ****….Spurs gave up jack and Bulls just accepted that crap for an All-Star level player. Ridiculous. Should’ve at least gotten Vassell.

Kings are funny too, Lavine and DeRozan on the same team again is just too funny. Didn’t work out the first time, two very similar below average shooters who play the same position.

Spurs won this by a landslide. Do not like the deal at all for the other two.
