i need more context before i can answer. what circumstances precipitated the encounter? what does it mean to be tossed like a rag doll? like some dude literally picks you up and throws you or do you mean just like walking away from a potential throw-down? even then it would depend on the circumstances, but i would always defer to de-escalation.

be like dave navarro...not perry. he tried to deescalate and when that didnt work he disengaged. is it satisfying in that moment? probably not...but all the positive PR went to him and perry came off looking like a violent, crazed a-hole.
