That inning really underscored the difference between the DBacks offense and ours

 

I have vague memories of that movie, and do remember liking it.

 

Chas McCormick cannot say the Astros didn't give him an opportunity to snap out of his slump this year.

Why the hell wouldn't they attempt a bunt there? Jesus. Espada will pinch hit four batters at the drop of a hat, but he is slow to do basic baseball stuff like this with a struggling lineup.

 

If Jake would've squeezed a bunt, Gamel's flyball would've scored Pena. This is something Reds and D-Backs are great at, and Mariners lately too.

Espada in-game decision making leaves a lot to be desired.

 

At the very least you bunt for a hit, about the worst that happens with a guy like Meyers *is* a sac bunt.

 

Meyers, Gamel and Chaz as your 7-9 hitters isn’t gonna scare any pitcher. Playoff lineup?

 

Well if you never questioned Maldy being in the lineup, you can’t question Chas being in there.

 

Gamel has at least hit the ball hard a lot and can work a walk. Chas is worthless this year. I would rather give Haywerd a shot.
