    Matt Chapman is on pace for a 5+ WAR season and will likely opt out so he won’t be the only “good option” but yeah there’s zero chance Bregman takes $20M

    With how many bad pitchers that seem to throw well against the Stros, I sometimes feel like Stanek could pitch a complete game shutout.

    I mean Bregman gives you half a season every year. Obviously Bregman is the better player but there are down sides to both of them and I don’t think the difference is that large. Depending on the price, Chapman may be a better value.

    Very realistic numbers. I still think it gets to $30 million plus as both the Dodgers and Yankees desperately need a 3B.

    Perhaps but his glove and baserunning provide a solid floor. At worst you’re getting a 3+ WAR season from him.
