Searchlight Pictures has premiered the trailer for “Logan” and “Ford v Ferrari” director James Mangold’s new film “A Complete Unknown”.

Timothée Chalamet is Bob Dylan in the project which serves as something of a biopic of the legendary music icon.

Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 1960s, Dylan is 19-year-old Minnesota musician on a meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts.

His songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

Co-starring are Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Dan Fogler as Albert Grossman, P. J. Byrne as Harold Leventhal, Norbert Leo Butz as Alan Lomax, Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie and Will Harrison as Bob Neuwirth.

The film only recently wrapped production but Searchlight isn’t waiting around and will have the film in cinemas by December.

I really like this dude as an Actor, but the pretentious spelling of his first name just irritates me for some reason.

    I watched this movie tonight.

    Really enjoyed it.

Incredible acting and singing by Chalamet and Monica Barbaro (the chick that played Joan Baez). Edward Norton solid as usual.

I'm not normally that much into these types of movies (watched that Priscilla Presley one and didn't like it), but this one was good. I suspect it will win some awards.

I would really like to watch this as I am a huge Dylan fan and although Chamalet looks more like Dylan than the dude who played Bob Marley in the Bob Marley movie (the real Marley was short and the guy that played him was like a half a foot taller and you can tell they just slapped some dreadlocks wig on him). But I just can’t get past the pretentiousness of Chamalet. Sigh.

I hate this kid BUT, he was awesome in Dune and from the clips I have seen, he nails Bob Dylan`s voice and looks. I don't really care about Dylan, never got into his music so I will wait until it streams.....................anymore if it's not a HUGE blockbuster (Barbie-Oppenheimer-Dune) or something I personally like I am fine just waiting

Not a Dylan fan. Dylan was a great lyricist but that voice.

I saw the movie with the fam last weekend. The movie was great. Might win some Oscars.

Great movie. Would have been cool if Joaquin Phoenix reprised his role as Cash.

Bob Dylan made the film producers change the name of his love interest, in order to make the movie. Much of what is in the film is mostly true.
