    I don't think he knows all the batters but I think he knows his pitchers really well. He calls stuff that they can throw successfully

    Idk what his process is, but it seems to be working. I noticed last year he called a much more aggressive game than Maldy.

    He obviously sees the ball really well. Maybe he can see which pitches are are working well from a batters perspective.

    I complained about that half the season. I blamed Dusty as well as those "certain" pitchers that insisted on having Maldy as their catcher.

    A catcher who can actually hit....................what a novel concept!!! I`m so used to that spot being a black hole that I don't know how to act over this revelation :p

    He actually needs to take Bregmans spot in the lineup at 4 if he keeps doing what he is doing. Make teams go through the gauntlet of Altuve , Yordan, Tucker and Diaz.

    A catcher that is good enough to be a DH.
